Re: Nintendo Addresses Confusion Surrounding Wii U's Name In Latest TV Commercial

Magiick

The acting these kids did are ten times better than the rest of the commercials Nintendo has made. The only issue I have is that the girl said "Upgrade" which is still going confuse parents. All they need to say is that its a "brand new" system. Sigh. I wish I could be apart of the marketing team for Nintendo this would have never happened. lol

I really think they should have just called it Wii HD or maybe yes Wii 2. Casual consumers are not everyday keep up to date with everything people. So putting a simple 2 after the name would have made it click for them. Now hardcore gamers are going to know information ahead of time because we are constantly checking for any new game systems. I'm not saying a majority of casual gamers are dumb, but they just like things simple and more common sense. PS1, PS2, PS3, etc.

It makes me so sad when I still see people who only own a Wii system, thinking they can buy a Wii U game for it. Nintendo needs to keep pushing these TV ads, I saw a lot of commercials during launch but I still think they should do seasonal ones to keep informing consumers. Last commercial I saw was one for Just Dance 2014 which helps I guess. Didn't see any for Wind Waker HD Bundle though... Come on Nintendo.

Re: Wii Sports Club Takes The Competition Online With HD Visuals And Wii MotionPlus Support

I'm happy that they are bringing Wii Sports online with an HD upgrade and Motion-Plus, but making pay for access is a little too much. I feel like Nintendo owes us for not trying hard enough to get sport games on the system this year. No Madden 25, NBA 2k14, FIFA, etc. Its nice of them to give us the option to buy whatever Wii sport we like, but would they do this if we had those big third-party sport titles coming?

Re: Talking Point: Marketing Wii U to the Masses

I still think Mario Kart 8 should be released this year... at least for the fans like me who bought the Wii U day one. I wanted to see a game that would actually push the Wii U hardware. Showing that Zelda HD E3 demo is what had me sold last year. I'm still waiting for that true HD Nintendo experience. Am I wrong for this?
