@Cyberbotv2 Certain regions get screwed, too. Example: most places, FFX/X-2 has the physical 1st game with download code for the 2nd. PlayAsia sells them both on a single cartridge! Super lame.
@Ded_Nexus Wow, to think that using a streaming service makes you a hyprocrite for preferring digital media. Did you know some shows are literally streaming only? Crunchyroll and Netflix have many shows that may not ever be physical, so saying someone watching those is a hypocrite is just silly. Also, what's wrong with owning physical and watching digital? I can't throw a DVD into my phone, so I watch on the go via stream. I feel pretty darn good about it, too.
@TheBigBlue Heh, that makes sense. $100 Canadian is awful... I'm hoping these games will get as good of a sale as other FF games on Switch which occasionally go for 50% off or more. I rarely ever buy games full price. Maybe once or twice a year, if my wife is especially interested in one.
@GameOtaku The Cowabunga Collection is just the games as they were in their original form. If the FF collection was the same, then I'd accept $30 - $40. Sadly, the FF collection is a massive upgrade visually and musically, along with new sound effects and neat (optional) quality of life updates. Also, the music is new and not the same as the Distant Worlds. I suggest looking up the OSTs for the pixel remaster, very good stuff!
If these things aren't to your liking, well..that's just how it is. Regardless, their upgrades justify the cost. At least they'll definitely go on sale digitally within a year.
@Ryu_Niiyama Gil and Tickets are in-game currency you can earn by playing, and basically everything to buy is done in-game without needing to access internet (assuming you have the latest update downloaded).
@Moistnado They make some great video games. I think so, anyway. It's awesome they're doing more to attract people to their great games and stop losers from preventing people to enjoy what they love.
@sanderev The headline is misleading, along with the word "ban". Reading the article, it sounds a lot more like me, a player, can block a player, and never need to worry about them on any game or system. I'd love that!
@Yorumi That's the problem Phil (and I) want to prevent. Why play the games where the players are losers? Because the game is amazing! I usually have a great time on Halo, for example, but once in a while, you run into a total loser. Same with Smash Bros. I'd rather not stop playing the game because of toxic people who are actively trying to ruin it for others. I'd love it if I didn't need to run into people who suck that also play the same games I do.
For Mii costumes, $.75 is a killer deal for purely cosmetic stuff. Every other game ever charges more for new outfits.
I just don't really care about Mii Fighters. I bought Sans, though. He came with killer music!
I bought FP1 and enjoy all of them (except Banjo), even though I could only really count Joker as one of my mains. They are all fun.
FP2 characters aren't all as fun for me. I never bought Min Min or Kazuya. Steve was an impulse buy that I kind of regret, but I know other people have fun with him, so it's okay.
@Nephestinus I think so! The only things I think might be tricky are the protective cases, like GripCase by Skull & co or others, but only if you really want to use the kickstand. (Skull & Co just put op the OLED style gripcase for preorder). Carry cases and other accessories should do alright.
@TrainerX493 It makes a difference to the majority of Smash players, as most of them play online. Probably not all of them play the online tournament mode, but any change to online has an impact.
@Luffymcduck That's usually what you'll see in Quickplay, but the actual online tournament mode is 2:30 with 2 (or less now) stock. Check out a player on YouTube to see what we mean.

@AlienigenX Lol, this is funny because it's true.

@DogDetective Yeah, I got that email. Definitely not easy to understand... It will just come one day and I'll be like, "wow, what a nice surprise!"

@Truegamer79 I hate the idiocy of weirdly limited, amazing games.

Re: Talking Point: What's The Deal With The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Switch Release?
@theModestMouse I've heard of gameplay hours contributing to value, but you're the first guy ever to judge value based on storage requirements.
Re: Talking Point: What's The Deal With The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Switch Release?
@AG_Awesome Not much for quality of life. They're basically the originals with improved graphics, music, translation.
Re: Review: Samurai Maiden - A Saucy Hack-And-Slash That Makes For An Entertaining Romp
But how can I enjoy the "textures" when I'm reading subtitles the whole game? Down with subtitles, need more dub!
Re: Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony Is The Castlevania You've Been Waiting For
@MetalHawk Man, I would love to have those on the Switch.
Re: Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony Is The Castlevania You've Been Waiting For
@Zuljaras I don't mind attractive girls in my games. But yeah, funny old-school Castlevania dialogue was the best!

Lol, yes. It's great to see a major console creator want to NOT use NFTs.

@StarPoint Yeah, Sans! I'd have probably done more if they came with music.
Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Version 13.0.0 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@VIIIAxel Perhaps you're too reasonable for the internet Smash community.
Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Version 13.0.0 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@Truedoogie I can see from your picture that you've been dreaming of this for some time. I'm glad it worked out!

@Marioracer Because Puff was buffed? Or something else?

@Xelha That's true, but this new rule set is far worse than the previous one. Do you ever play 1 stock with your friends?
