@Pillowpants Don't hold your breath. The only people trying to push the idea that there will be any announcements before 2025 are gaming "journalists" and youtubers who have a financial interest in promoting rumors for clicks. If Nintendo was going to say anything before the end of 2024, they would have said before the end of this year, not before the end of the financial year.
@chardir People assume that a bare board has a meaning. Bare boards can be gotten easily and cut down to whatever you like. Then with a minor bit of sanding you have what you saw. There is absolutely nothing about it that proves it is anything more than a random bare board.
People have greatly overestimated the difficulty to make things that look real. You can easily create something that looks like that just by cutting up a bare board the right way. It isn't anything special.
Nintendo isn't going to name it Switch 2. Super Switch sure, hell even Switch Attach or New Switch have a better chance of being the name than Switch 2. Nintendo isn't putting a 2 after a system name. Numbering the systems like that is antithetical to Nintendo's methods.
The biggest hint that the photos are not real is the fact that the color scheme seen in the shots of the system are the same as the existing switch as opposed to being different. Nintendo will have the system be different color for the base and the front as to what the current Switch and Switch OLED come as. They will want the new version to stand out from the Switch Generation so that people know at a distance that hey that is the new Nintendo system not the old one.
