Re: Cybernator

just tried it out on emulator (always try before you buy) and I'm really digging it. I'm sure the game will be much easier to control with the classic controller over keyboard though haha

Re: Kirby's Dream Land 3

HiPNoTyQ

i grew up playing Dreamland 1 and 2 on my gameboy but never had a SNES so I couldn't give this a spin. Turns out to be pretty rare on ebay for the real deal so i'm gonna wait till it hits vc (hopefully soon!!!)

Re: Are Virtual Console games good value for money?

HiPNoTyQ

I still have my original 64 collection (with ~50 games, no way im getting rid of it any time soon) and I got my old Sega Genesis stuff boxed up in my closet.

However I no longer have my NES and I never owned a SNES so thats what I use my VC for mainly.

Re: Retro Studios Working On New Zelda?

shigeru miyamoto himself was the one that stated "Twilight Princess will be the last Zelda of its kind" which is the thing that really worries me... Zelda can not be in first person please god no

Re: Castlevania: The Nintendo Years

Great article!
I've just recently became a fan of the Castlevania games and I'm currently (stuck) at the boss of Portrait of Ruin. I'm also pretty far on SotN on the 360 and gonna go through Super Castlevania IV on my VC eventually.

My question to you is, do you prefer the original nintendo/super nintendo games before they were integrated with a leveling/rpg-style system or do you like the latter more?

Re: Review: Contra 4

HiPNoTyQ

agreed, wifi would have been solid for this game.
They can do it for Portrait of Ruin so I don't see why they can't here?

Re: Review: Contra 4

HiPNoTyQ

Just picked this up on the weekend before taking a long bus trip.
Managed to unlock both Contra and Super C already so not bad for someone who didn't grow up on the games. I wish they put Contra 3 in as well but that may be asking too much out of an already generous game (plus I got Contra 3 on VC anyway).
I'm now working my way into Normal difficulty (its harder than it sounds!) and getting my kicked in some of the challenges.
