I also picked up Hooked, and it's actually not bad if you don't mind minesweeper. It features many well done intricacies beyond standard minesweeper, but at its core that what the gameplay amounts to. A pleasant suprise in this otherwise humdrum DSiWare update.
Great to see this reviewer gets the concept behind these games. I was afraid we'd see a 2/10 review complaining about the gameplay, graphics and lack of high score saving.
I'll be getting it. Hopefully the 200 point price tag is a recognition of the frugal nature of DSiWare users, not an indication of meager content. I anticipated paying at least 500 points for this, thinking it would be a substantial title.
I was reminded of Konami's Scramble too. This is a fun game to try to 1 credit clear, but if you just use continue after continue the intensity is diminished and it can begin to feel like a grind. I got to stage 38 before I had to take a break.
Sweet, another DoDoGo! title. Too bad it will go criminally ignored by the masses because of some superficial perception. The developers would be better off taking the franchise to the iPhone, where players don't have such a narrow view of what a good game is.
These games are more about experiencing Mr. Rohrer's artistic vision than gameplay, so people hoping for am more traditional game experience would be better served looking into his puzzler Primrose (also 200 points). From there you may decide you enjoy his unique style and check this title out on its own merit.

I picked up Surfacer+, and it's pretty fun but a bit shallow for the price.
