Nintendo fans being Nintendo fans we tend to on our high horse when backed into the corner like we are at the moment, but I do think we should be concerned. After 20 years of buying Nintendo products i can safely say the company now is a different beast. the quality is still there at times, but they lost sight of what made them a great company with the Wii. I don't want that tablet to play games with, i want a top end next gen console and i couldn't give a monkeys about seeing the map on a second screen (and that is where we'll be with third party releases before you know it).
Whats amazing is that Nintendo came out saying that they'd learnt from the mistakes made at the 3DS's launch, but when it comes to early support things are even worse. Its hard to believe that these companies (Sony included) can get the market so wrong, when they've been around so long!
I agree that this kind of article doesn't really constitute as good editorial work. This guy has always had a bias and if he can't be objective whats the point in hearing his view and it being reported? a lot of what he's saying could end up being true but we don't need his opinion (and thats all it can be) when the writings so clearly on the wall at the moment. And we don't need Nintendo life fuelling the fire!
Games Nintendo, thats the priority. Remember back when the N64 was released and launch was delayed so they could get Mario 64 right? Thats the kind of Nintendo prioritising we all deserve.
@ Suicune. I agree, its missing PETA's point if you think they are concerned with you hopping in your boat for a morning whaling session. Any kind of virtual glorification of something that is obviously a real life problem should be treated with more sincerity. Whaling however historical is a little different to shooting aliens and with graphics and gameplay becoming more and more advanced we can't help but start to run the risk of these things influencing certain peoples at some level, even if its just being blasé to it all.
Another quality Wii U release... How about this for a thought. Nintendo just releases first/ third party games, forgets about other publisher support and then creates and supports its download service so it has exclusively the cream of the indie development crop?

Great to hear such positivity, these are the people the big N need to be keeping sweet.
Re: Miyamoto Discusses Retirement In Recent Interview
Some fresh talent and new IP could come of it. Just take Zelda back to TP.
Re: Feature: Series Reboots That Have Divided Gamers
Other M was poor, maybe a case of just a bad localisation much like Xenoblades?

Re: Review: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate (3DS)
The review was too harsh and read like Colin was blinded by some agenda. Whether the game is rubbish or not it was way to one sided.
