If they do make a CPP XL, it's going to be the size of a lunch tray, hahaha.
I'm pretty torn on the XL. On one hand, the color choices are...pretty poor (I'd love a midnight purple one), and I'm concerned how some of the VC games will look on it, but I like the bigger screens, the new Select/Home/Start buttons, and that the touch screen isn't surrounded by a dust-collecting crevice.
I hope the stylus holder is on the side of the system, like it was with the DS Lite. That would be awesome.
I don't have enough eshop games to name my top 10 (unless you count the ambassador games), but here are my top 5: 5. Super Mario Land 4.Rayman GBC 3. Pushmo 2. Game and Watch Gallery 2 1. Sakura Samurai
Whether the intention is to make a set or a game, I'd prefer Lego to stay away from Zelda, and I hope Nintendo doesn't approve the idea. I believe it would tarnish Zelda's brand image.
@BoogilyWoogily I would've paid more for better audio. If WayForward can charge $12 for what is now a 2 year old (but still very excellent) Shantae game...idk, I'm glad you guys were able to keep the price down, but I wish you hadn't decontented the game to do so.
And to think, all this backlash could've been avoided if they'd just named the game New Super Luigi Bros
I'm interested (and will probably get it unless Nintendo decides to put SMB3 or SMW on the 3DS virtual console), but I really wish Nintendo would give us some more diverse 3DS games than just every Mario-styled title. Or at least spread them out more; having less than a year between the release of 2 Mario platformers (although they're fundamentally different) is a little irritating.
Wait, I'm a little confused. Is this DS game the same "version" as the PS3 game (as in, they're both Wrath of the White Witch), or a totally different game?
Either way, now Mother 3 has a playmate in the "RPG's that ironically don't get released outside of Japan due to one of their main selling points" club.
Played this for the first time as an ambassador game. It's pretty neat, but I think I'll hold off on finishing it until the full VC release with restore points.
Definitely not for me. I don't really like the art style and overly grim aesthetic, but what's really off-putting is the monster flesh eating mechanic:
My only experience with the series is the Maximum Velocity GBA game, and I didn't really enjoy it. Couldn't get a handle on the controls. Was that one of the weaker F-Zero titles, or is there just a learning curve to understanding the controls?
@Mickeymac That video was, dare I say, s(ub)lime. @WolfRamHeart Thanks for the info. I hope it gets released outside of Japan too, but if not, there's always Operation Slimefall @Pogocoop Google? Pfff, that's too mainstream. AskJeeves is where it's at, yo.

Re: Feature: Our Top Ten eShop Games
@Miss_Birdo 27, I think.
@Mickeymac Why do you not like Sakura Samurai?

Re: Shantae eShop Release Gets Closer
Eh, I didn't really enjoy Risky's Revenge, so this one probably isn't for me.
And is it just me, or do the number of platforming games on 3DS VC vastly outweigh the other genres?

Re: It's a Heroes of Ruin Multiplayer Video
Am I the only one who thinks the graphics look kinda...barfy? Although maybe I've just been spoiled by Kid Icarus.
Think I'll wait for the reviews on this one.
Re: Europe, Your 3DS System Update Arrives 25th April
I guess you could say Nintendo finally...folded

Re: Nintendo Reveals New Super Mario Bros. 2 for 3DS
And Nintendo once again misses an opportunity to make a Hotel Mario sequel. They'd make quindecillions with that.
Re: Nintendo Download: 19th April 2012 (North America)
Like many others, I got 3D Classics Kid Icarus via pre-order bonus, so there's nothing for me this week.
Hopefully the Ambassador Games will continue to help me weather this VC drought.

Re: Miyamoto Working on "Small, Important" Wii U Projects
Pikmin are both small and important...too bad that s on the end of project throws that theory out the window.

I find it a little hard to stomach
Re: Nintendo Download: 12th April 2012 (North America)
The disparity between the 2 Nintendo Download articles' sub-headers makes me want to cry:
Europe: Zelda and Super Street Fighter II
North America: Ketzal and dolls
Re: Miyamoto: "Angry Birds Would Have Been Better on DS"
Angry Birds? What's that?
Re: Miyamoto: "F-Zero Could Work on Wii U"
I didn't know people loved F-Zero so much!
My only experience with the series is the Maximum Velocity GBA game, and I didn't really enjoy it. Couldn't get a handle on the controls. Was that one of the weaker F-Zero titles, or is there just a learning curve to understanding the controls?
...or do I just suck at F-Zero?

Re: Monsters Abound in Terry's Wonderland 3D Trailer
With all the crazy imaginative creatures shown in the video, why is one of the most prominent monsters on the box cover a regular bear?
I'm definitely interested, but you know what I'd REALLY like to see? A 3DS sequel to Rocket Slime.
Re: Rumour: Wii U Components Cost $180, Will Retail at $300
$300 seems fair, although I suspect that means no haptic touch controller
If Nintendo was keeping the Wii U name, "What's inside U?" might actually have been an interesting tagline.
