@Yorumi At the same time it is for the good if the community to make sure there is an active fan base playing the game at once so matchmaking not only is speedy but as the modes expand there will be enough players interested in each. It also keeps splatoon in the public's eye and keeps people buying it as more gets added. They basically are trying to create an 'evergreen title' without people knowing about the IP beforehand.
