1. I reckon 2D is the way to go, but I replayed A Link To The Past recently with my girlfirend and it confused to *****. A much better starting point is (careful) Link's Awakening, original or remake.
2. Skyward Sword. I know. Ocarina is fabbo but gee whiz has it aged, 3DS included. Skyward Sword is way better than it get's credit for and minus motion controls the perfect 3D entry for a newbie.
3. BOTW. Obvs. It might not be the most Zelda Zelda, but the little details blow almost everyone away. Looses it's charm a touch once you crack it but the first 20 hours or so are mesmerising.
4. Don't even bother. I love Wind Waker, Majoras Mask, even Twilight Princess but once you've shown someone BOTW they'll struggle to go back.

Re: Video: What Legend Of Zelda Games Can We Expect To Fill The Gap In 2022?
The original Legend Of Zelda remade using the BOTW engine. Kinda like how they used a '2D' engine to concept BOTW, but in reverse.
Almost like a BOTW2 teaser.
