Re: Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 Resolution & Frame Rate Chart Released

Now i don't know about mgs2's framerate but mgs3 does have sections that run at 60fps (like the survival viewer), but not throughout the whole game, the ps2 couldn't handle running that game at a constant 60fps. In fact, there's a patch that will make the game run at 60, i tried it and it frame dropped like crazy. So, I'm not sure where people are getting there info when they say mgs3 ran at 60fps on ps2. Still it's unfortunate that it wont be 60 on switch.

@Snow-Dust The problem tho is that when nintendo isn't providing an option for people to buy or play these classic games, you basically have no choice but to emulate, or use original hardware. And people pirating games that are no longer being sold does not harm the company whatsoever. What's the difference between pirating a 15 - 20 year old game that is no longer being sold or officially available in any way and buying an original copy? Nothing. They will make 0 dollars and 0 cents from that download or purchase. They are making no money from those specific titles. And even if they are selling it, people will still buy. It would only be a real problem if everyone pirated it and barely anyone bought the game. Also you can't throw emulators in with the devices that people use to run custom software. These emulators are not being sold for money. They are makinig no profit. These emulators are not designed for the sole purpose of pirating, Alot of the time they start as experiments, just for fun or as a proof of concept and they grow from there. Not everyone pirates games, you can totally use emulators to play your original games.
