Re: Metroid Dread: All Missile Tank Locations

@SeantheDon29 So what you're sayaing is, you shouldn't have to get 100% completion in order to be recognized for 100% completion?

This is the silliest thing I've ever read. You don't have to 100% to beat the game. It itself is an optional challenge. These shinesparks are already "cool secrets." Now, in Super Metroid, the shinespark was a hidden ability that the game didn't tell you about. In this case, maybe I could have agreed that it shouldn't have been necessary to get certain item pickups, but then, if it wasn't needed to do anything, why bother having it?

As for all the things you can do with it, figuring out what you can do with these abilities is supposed to be part of the fun. Why does everything need to be handed to the player on a silver platter? Do Microsoft and Sony have to change all their achievements so 100% of all players can obtain all of them without effort? There doesn't need to be any requirement that all of everybody be able to do all of every arbitrary accomplishment in a game.

Metroid has always been more of a "core gamer" franchise. Which is probably why it has never sold as well as Mario and friends, but the whole series has always been about exploration and discovery.
