All in all this won't affect mine and my partners day to day to much, I know we can still play all our games separate, and every once and a while the same game when we both restart Skyrim again in winter with a little offline work around, but those couch co op days keep getting harder and harder to get back, I had about 20 games that when we had game nights we'd cycle through. Games aren't cheap and I know a lot of work goes in to making them. I feel like it's just a shift we didn't see coming, similar to Netflix and other streaming services always changing stuff, as a consumer I just won't subscribe to things I can't use anymore or afford to use anymore. These companies don't owe me anything and this is all my opinion, maybe it's a little selfish to want so much from one digital game purchase for two people, just wanted to be a part of the conversation. Thanks if you read all this, and it's ok to not agree with me, I hope this update does help a lot of switch owners and you guys are having a great time. We'll keep living and playing games one way or another. 👍 Also before anyone says anything, I know split screen exists, but it's really fun playing hand held co op on our own screens without having to get to close to the tv, "don't sit to close to the tv or you'll go blind".
Ok, I don't do this often but I wanna say my bit. The old way was not a loophole. I don't know about single accounts that had four switches and found a way to play a game at the same time on all of them, but for me I had the primary switch that was mine and my partners. My account bought all the games and dlc, then their account could log in and play games as themselves. I got a second switch, made it require an online check, the other switch was theirs to play all the time (still set as primary), we not only could play a game at the same time (as our SEPARATE accounts) but use our family plan online to play games together. Now as it stands we can't play games at the same time unless one of us goes online, and their account requires the virtual card no matter what because they don't own any of the games. We can't re buy 30 games, and now why would I keep my online subscription since I'm not playing online multiplayer with the person I play it with.
