Wait what? Did they pull the movies from youtube earlier, the moment they released it on the app it was also available on youtube, i even send them to some friends… or was that only the teaser?
Pretty sure that’s why it’s at least a year before they release it.. everything is 100% complete except for the ear models and specialized ear physics engine
To all that praise the device, i’m not saying your wrong in seeing an advantage but from my own experience (friend has one, showed it at his place looked better, brought it over to me looked worse/not noticable) the device doesn’t really do that much…. But how did you see a difference then? Well simple… upscalers in most tv’s are pure crap! These mclassic upscallers scale the image up a bit more properly leaving less work/manipulation to be done by your TV’s upscaler..
The biggest difference between our setups? The tv type: he has a samsung, I have an Lg (both 4k, both 65 inch). Even when he enables ‘game mode’ you can still see that the upscaller just sucks at it’s job. Where the upscaler on my tv in game mode just does ‘pixle doubling’… the mClassic just let it skips a few ‘steps’ of upscaling letting it look, less worse?
I don’t think those praising it are wrong, but if you look at the pictures here, which are screenshots so exact pixel to pixel comparisons with no upscaling by a tv you just see the device itself doesn’t do much magic. So it works for you on your tv which is a good thing, but the manufacturer claims are most of the time just false or misleading if you ask me
