Might skip this months splatfest, but I'm hoping the December one is a Christmas themed one and I will play the hell out of that one. Was a bit disappointed they skipped it last year.

I thought it said "religious themes" and thought "oh boy this is going to get controversial".

I can't send Nintendo Life a message as when I do the page says:

"Unfortunately, we require a subject, your name, email address and a comment. Please enter all these details."

Despite having provided all these details.

I would message Nintendo Life, but I can't.

I want handshake, my son wants fist bump and my daughter wants hug.

Yeah, we will all be Team Hug because me and my son are easy and want to actually play together so we just always go with her option.

This game is the reason we bought 3 Switches and 3 copies of Splatoon 3.

Ahh I was hoping for a bit of a Splatoon break before the next season started, or at the very least a Big Run rather than another Splatfest. Oh well!

Ngl I really like this theme! It’s definitely gonna be a tough choice though, but I’m leaning towards handshake or hug rn.

I'm hoping America has the same splatfest here, because I'm already deciding on Team Hug. I'm a hugger.

@UltimateOtaku91 Not everyone celebrates Christmas, so I guess it would have to be more of a winter themed one (bit like North vs South Pole & Sweater vs Sock)

Not a fan of regional Splatfests- I prefer one unified one, makes it feel more definitive.
As for the theme itself; meh. I mean I'll still play it and rep my team with all my power but it's hardly the most interesting thing to bicker about (for me at least)

Not sure why that is regional for the UK. It should be “do you greet your friends by calling them Bruv, **** or Oi”.

It's nice to have region-specific Splatfests every once in a while. Gives us a chance to have Splatfests specific to our cultures. Also, people seem to be growing very restless of this bias for Shiver.

The image of the Japanese one looks... less than ideal. Definitely not great to just copypaste the same thing three times. Surely there are better themes than a name preference.

Hopefully people can now shut up and stop sabotaging tricolor matches over their weird idol wars.

I prefer the global model for splatfests, but this seems like it could be fun as long as it’s not the status quo going forward. Also, Big Man probably gives great hugs!

Where's the option for awkward fist grab greeting, where you go for the handshake but the other person goes in for the fist pump?

I’m on Team “terse nod”, as the Splatoon NA account bemoans the lack of (a quick nod at a friend or acquaintance, usually paired with a, “Hey” or, “ ‘sup”). But I guess I’ll go with the greeting with the minimum amount of contact, Team Fistbump. Hey, fistbumping’s in the game so it’s a natural pick!

I'm on Handshake. Plain and simple.

I’m on Team Fist Bump. I don’t like having longer physical contact with strangers so I’d rather do something more sanitary and fast.

Frye was once again denied victory... Not sure how such a small percentage of Handshakers managed to win the Pro & Tricolour... although, saying that, I guess it's because I sepnt most of the time up against my own team, therfore clout doesn't count sigh

Watching the results for this Splatfest was legitimately painful. sigh

Nintendo tried its best to give Frye another win and it still didn't work out.

Edit: No matter to me, I was Team Handshake.

I was on fist bump and got nothing but fist bump matches in Tri Color. This one didn't feel that competitive or fun.

GGs Handshakes. Fist Bumpers weren’t bumping enough, this time around. Too focused on inking, I feel. There were battles where I’d be charging in, Hug or Handshake would be charging in, I’d look around or check the map, and the rest of the team is still painting spawn. Like, really?! We still doing this in “Pro”? Who says the popularity curse isn’t a thing anymore? It was definitely out on full display this weekend! I guess all the x100’s and x333’s were coming from Open? Ended up with the lowest clout I’ve ever had for roughly 3 and 1/2 hours of Splatfest time 25,000 in “Pro” and 15,000 in Tricolor (amazingly from one of 2 actual tricolors fought against the other teams). My Splatfest power was so low I started seeing Squid/Octo parties again. Sigh.

They should award points for gold medals, so even in mirrors it won’t be a total waste of time. What’s the point of #1 Overall Splatter, Enemy Splatter, Enemy Base Inker, Home Base Inker, Defender, etc. in Splatfests/Turf if it doesn’t convert to some points like they do in Ranked Battles?

WOW! was ready to give Frye a congratulatory handshake but got shocked instead. got to say Manta is easily the worst tri stage so far. the defenders had a way to big of an advantage there.

What's funny is that the post-Splatfest dialogue reveals that Shiver went with Handshake because she has no idea how to fist-bump.

Weird because I don't even remember the last time I hand-shaked anyone. Even observing people interact in public, they mostly hug or fist bump.

@BenAV Watched my friend play this fest and she said searching for players took longer than usual as she never had problems plus communication errors. Her friend lobby was dead as well. I assumed players dwindled a bit.

Completely forgot this Splatfest was even a thing. I was too busy playing Hogwarts Legacy and Super Mario RPG. Splatfests and Splatoon 3 in general just haven't been that fun to me, Splatoon 2 was perfect and had the weapons I truly had a blast with. Splatoon 3 is just......there.......I guess. If there's a 4th, I doubt I'll buy it.
