How ever will Nintendo survive discounting their first party games like that?
Me: "Russian PS+ cards cost an arm and a leg, but the September lineup is particular neat and, depending on the upcoming payday yields, MAYBE I should consider that 3 month renewal even if it's roughly 50+ (no pun intended) bucks atm"
This big sale on the platform I'll always get astronomically more use out of: "Sure. MAYBE"😛
I can ignore most of my wishlist that's on sale, but Disco Elysium for $20 is very tempting....Must...not...cave....
I picked up Metro 2033 redux for $2.49. I know basically nothing about the game but at that price for what I know to be a well reviewed AAA game, just had to give it a shot.
Yay! More junk that I already have or don't want. We missed that summer E3 sale where a few first party games go on sale.
Attention people who want to buy a Diablo game: you can get both in a bundle for 30$ in this sale as compared to 20$ for II and 30$ for III. If you're buying you might as well go for both games right?
@Tyranexx Just here to be that little devil on your shoulder...
"DO IT! LET THE DISCO FLOW THROUGH YOU!!!"
Disco Elysium, Kentucky Route Zero, and Death's Door are all on sale and have my attention.
And for people stoked to see Rayman again - Rayman Legends is $10 on sale, highly recommended.
Horizon Chase Turbo is a steal at 3.99. If you ever wanted to get this game nows the time.
@solarwolf07 Diablo II has some significant DRM associated with it, I think? I'd like to buy it, but I don't know. Nintendo Life didn't even bother reviewing it.
Also MLB the Show is on sale for 20 dollars. I don't usually buy digital but the physical still requires a large download so I'll jump on that.
N64 Switch controllers are back in stock on Nintendo store UK. NintendoLife, probably worth a headlining post!
Is there any plans to extend the eshop cards sales to Canada?
Is GTA Trilogy any good on Switch now? Tempted to pick it up at that price.
@xDeckardx
@Tyranexx
There's a real problem with Disco Elysium deficiency going round it seems haha
Gotta make sure folks are making the right choices
@ImmaWario I know I’m in the minority here, but between those three, I’d avoid death’s door…It def has some charming visuals, but repetitive encounter design, inconsistent difficulty, and what I felt was a pretty flat progression system kind of ruined it for me. Was really surprised how much of an indie darling it had become…
Forget the games, where do I get those lovely joycons in the thumbnail?!
That DBFZ discount is hilarious. From a whopping $95....all the way down to $14.24. If you're interested in DBFZ, this is probably the time to grab it honestly.
@sketchturner I picked that game a long time ago because it looked interesting and it became my instant favorite. Plus I think it portraits the feeling of being alone way better than Metroid in my opinion. I hope you like it as much as I did. I have yet to play METRO Exodus
@xDeckardx LOL Believe me, I want to play the game. The main issue is a hefty backlog that I'm trying not to add to.
Not sure there's anything on here we haven't seen before. Nearly all of this stuff is underwhelming in the entertainment department or was ridiculously overpriced to begin with. Monster Hunter's probably the cream of the crop.
Not bad, but a good portion of these games have already been on sale recently in other sales. Would have been nice if Nintendo included some of their own games in this "Blockbuster" sale besides a few nobody cares about.
@Rooty Now I know you didn't just slag off my boi Doom Eternal like that.
Oh that Crash Bandicoot one looks like a huge deal! I may try that one! ❤️
I just grabbed Kaze and the Wild Masks for $9.99. It's pretty great.
@datamonkey they look exactly like the shells i got off Amazon from eXtremerate
@Paranoid_Android ah ok thanks I’ll have a search for them!
Must wait until Black Friday sale. Resist!!!!
There's no guarantee for when and how significant sales will happen, so even though I have enough in my backlog already to hold me for the rest of the year at the very least... I still used some Gold Coins and picked up some puzzle games on sale- Lumines Remastered & Gorogoa for cheap. Hopefully when the time comes, I'll have some extra funds/coins for potential significant Black Friday & Holiday sales splurging.
... Wun can only hope.
Windjammers 2 finally is mine! ($13,90)
My wife is loving to play against me.
It has online matches...so if anyone wanna play against me....message me! =)
Had a birthday gift card burning a hole in my wallet, so I picked up Mulaka, Tales of Vesperia, Neon Abyss, Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight, Jotun: Valhalla Edition, Castle Crashers, GRIS, and the Fatal Falls DLC for Dead Cells!
Finally got Double Dragon 4, at 50%. It was out almost at launch, so I've been waiting for over 5 years for a discount. Persistence and patience pays off! I was almost tempted a a few times at full price, until the years dragged by that I simply had to keep waiting.
So pissed off I bought GTA trilogy the day before its 70% off 😡
@SuperBiny64 I don't know the rest of those games yet but I have a lot of time for Neon Abyss. I've always loved twin stick shooters and that is a great game.
These big sales are great and I always find something to add to my collection but I have bought 330 games so a lot of them say Purchased lol, and I wish I could see the sales price
Saints row the third is still too expensive at $5.99. I paid a dollar for it and still feel ripped off. Crazy how that port got no patch support to fix the game breaking bugs.
@Shworange I got it for mad cheap too. I think like $2.50. For $2.50, it's saints row, on the go. Win, win. idc if there are "bugs" it was less than the price of most gas station items.
I'm thinking of Saints Row. There's a few on sale that I want like Sonic Mania and Treasure Trove, but I have other ways to play them still. Maybe I'll go for the GTA trilogy because I love those games!
@ibookboyuk I’m very excited to give it a try! Love the art style.
@Shworange had the same situation with saints row 4. really enjoyed what i got for literally a buck and then it just stopped working after a certain point.
Can I still buy an eShop card, add the funds online and use the balance to buy Wii U and 3DS games? I’m able to do that with a credit card still so this shouldn’t be any different, right?
@SuperBiny64 Yeah. I've always loved any neon games.
