Publisher Phoenix Labs has announced Fae Farm, a brand new farming sim that "invites players to escape with friends into an enchanted world filled with wonder".
Due to launch in Q2 2023, Fae Farm is being built with co-op play in mind and lets you drop in and out of sessions both online and via local multiplayer. You'll be able to build farms with your friends, take on quests together, and work to restore harmony to the land of Azoria.
Katie De Sousa, Creative Director on Fae Farm, had the following to say:
“With Fae Farm we wanted to take our favorite elements of the sim genres we love, infuse them with magic and beautiful art, and wrap everything in a light-hearted cooperative experience. I can’t wait to see what kind of cozy homesteads players build in Azoria.”
We'll be sure to provide more updates on Fae Farm as we get them.
Are you looking forward to a new farming sim from Phoenix Labs? Grab your sythe and hoe and let us know (hey, we're poets, we don't know it)!

This looks decently charming. Not something I would be into myself but neat all the same.
Oh sorry, my translator was on. What I meant to say was farmfarmfarmfarmfarmfarmfarmfarmfarmfarmfarmfarm.
This looks really good. I will wait on reviews and because I'll be slammed with other games in this genre but I am really interested.
I feel like they show us way too many farming sims in that direct. This game add to A Wonderful Life remake, the remastered of Rune Factory 3, and showing Harvestella again just make me cringe a little but I do want all these games, just wish some of those times would be use to present other games like Tactics Ogre Reborn and Metal Slug Tactics for example.
Now this is the "Rune Factory" style game I want to play. 😃
The character design looks way more appealing for me than Rune Factory games.

A typo, eh ?
You can promise the depth and charm of anything you like, but I say, you come at the king, you best not miss. Word of warning.
Looks and runs way better than Story of Seasons, which is a GameCube remaster(!). Marvellous has really dropped the ball on those titles. Also, it's somehow exclusive? Might grab it.
Hey y'all we heard you like farms. So we got you more farm games for your farm gaming.
... Wun can only hope, you're happy!
There’s too many farm games now. It’s a rough market to compete in because of the time required to be spent in each game it won’t garner your farm game that much player population. Plus most farm games are very samey and are easy to just forget and put down. Distinguishing your game is important, put something wacky in it that generally doesn’t get used in casual game enclosures. Farming is very casual don’t mix it with another casual element. Take a non casual element and simplify it. Stardew did great with their combat whereas I think rune factory struggles with it. It’s too much of a part of the game without having much to it so you spend too long on an overly basic system whereas farming has many intricacies such as fertilizer placement large crops sales machinery cooking and more and combat is just bludgeoning someone to death.
Source: most of my time played in games are farming sims. I won’t pretend I’m being modest here I know what is good and what isn’t. This is my main genre.
@Ocaz Well then I better just stick with ACNH
@Ryu_Niiyama This one stood out to me as the best looking of the bunch that we saw today. Time will tell whether A Wonderful Life can charm me enough all over again, but Fae Farm is the priority.
@gcunit I am reverse. AWL got me in the nostalgia region so I am getting that ASAP. So I suppose I can tell you my impression and you can tell me about Fae Farm. Lol.
this game actually looks good, fantasy life was fantastic on 3ds
This one looks like a fun game to play. The characters and animations of the actions are just more expressive and engaging than the other farm sims which lately are looking very stale and stiff by comparison. In a game like this, those charming details really make the experience, in my opinion.
I like the fact many farming simulators are coming to Switch they're my favourites
The characters remind me of MySims, especially the faces. It looks interesting.
