With its Kickstarter ending later today, the pixel-art Metroidvania Rebel Transmute has successfully passed the stretch goal required for a Switch version of the game.

At the time of writing, the finding stands at $25,611, surpassing the $24,000 needed to get the game on Switch. You still have a handful of hours left to support the project if you wish, with all pledges $17 and over now getting a choice between a PC copy of the game and a Switch copy.

Solo developer Evan Tor has showcased an upcoming Metroidvania titled Rebel Transmute, currently live on Kickstarter. The project has successfully passed its basic funding goal, but needs an extra push to secure a release on the Switch. At the time of writing, the funding currently sits at $21,114 and needs to hit $24,000 to bag its Switch port, so that's a little under $3000 required from backers with 7 days remaining.

Rebel Transmute is a 2D pixelated Metroidvania inspired by Super Metroid and Hollow Knight, featuring "vast interconnected areas, interweaving story lines, a slew of game changing abilities, and engaging combat". You take on the role of Moon Mikono who is on a mission to discover the circumstances surrounding her mother's disappearance.

As you progress through the game, you gain augments, which will allow you to customise Moon with new gadgets, abilities, and even summon minions.

- Experience a subversive story and detailed lore, following Moon Mikono and a colorful cast of characters on their own personal journeys.

- Customize your playstyle. Use augments to summon minions, gain new abilities, alter the HUD, assist in combat, or even transform your core abilities!

- Explore and map a vast labyrinth of research labs, alien cave systems, and striking sci-fi vistas.

- Battle over a dozen bosses in intricate, challenging fights that'll test your skill and your loadout.

Rebel Transmute's Kickstarter page also highlights a further stretch goal at $27,000, which will allow Tor to build an expanded OST for the game if successfully funded.
