The UK monthly charts for July are in, showcasing a solid debut for Monolith Soft's epig JRPG Xenoblade Chronicles 3, despite the game launching right at the tail end of the month on the 29th.

The game, which stars protagonists Noah and Mio on a quest across the vast landscape of Aionios, lands at number 13 in the physical and digital charts. It's worth noting, as ever, that Nintendo does not provide figures for its digital sales, so Xenoblade Chronicles 3 would hypothetically have charted even higher if digital sales were included.

Looking at Nintendo published titles, Nintendo Switch Sports is the only game to chart higher than Xenoblade Chronicles 3, coming in at number 6. In terms of third party titles, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga took the silver medal for the month, coming in at number 2.

Something else interesting to note is the distinct lack of Horizon: Forbidden West on the monthly charts. As GameIndustry.biz highlights, the game has been frequently topping the weekly sales charts for quite some time now, but this is due to the high popularity of the PS5 bundle containing a copy of the game, which isn't factored into the monthly charts.
