Toy Soldiers HD Finally Shoots For An August Switch Release Date

The last we heard from Toy Soldiers HD, an upcoming tower defense-FPS-strategy game, was that the Switch version had been pushed back from the intended October 21st release date, needing further testing.

It's good news at last, as Accelerate Games today announced that the game would be coming out on the Nintendo Switch on the 5th August, 2022, "completely overhauled and upgraded" for the Switch.

The game has been out on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PS4 and PS5 since October 21st, 2021.

Formerly of Official Nintendo Magazine, GameSpot, and Xbox UK, you can now find Kate's writing all over the internet. Her latest projects include writing for Moonstone Island, a deckbuilding creature-collecting game, and [REDACTED], which is very [REDACTED]. Sometimes she writes things here, and sometimes they are about cows and crabs.

Loved this game on 360. Will definitely be double dipping. Hopefully it does well and they re-release the sequel for Switch.

I miss Army Men something fierce.

Someone needs to get that series back. Seems like all spiritual successors just miss the mark in some way or another. This game in particular.

This game was free on xbox 360. And...i did not like this game very much...

Thought this was "Small Soldiers" for a second & then audibly sighed when I realised it wasn't. Good luck to Army Men though!

I know this is just toy but c'mon Nintendo you're making cartoon war games, why pull back on Advance Wars when Toy Soldiers, which looks more realistic, released just fine?
