One of the big headliners during the Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase yesterday was Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, the sequel to Ubisoft's XCOM-esque Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. The original was a surprising mash-up of genres and characters that maybe shouldn't have worked, but darn, they worked really well together.
So we're delighted we're getting a sequel this year! And yesterday, we found out that the space-based game will be launching on the Switch on the 20th October along with some new details on the upcoming strategy sequel. But we're about to get more info today. As revealed yesterday, Ubisoft is having a special Showcase which promises to give us a better look at the unique tactical combat, as well as "a few surprises", so if you're a fan of the original, you won't want to miss this.
The Showcase kicks off at 9:00 PDT / 12:00 EDT / 17:00 BST / 18:00 CET, so make sure you join us with a nice cup of tea — or whatever drink you fancy!
