Niantic has revealed details on this year's Pokémon GO Fest, with 2022's event taking place on Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5. As the company states that the Pokémon Fest is all about friendship and community, it has announced that Shaymin - the gratitude Pokémon - will be the star of the show.
Tickets will be on sale for the event at $14.99 via the in-game store, with ticket holders being tasked with conducting Special Research to learn more about Shaymin. Other rewards surrounding the event will include a special avatar item and an avatar pose.
Over the course of the weekend, trainers will also see a higher chance of capturing shiny Pokémon, including Unown B, which has yet to be available in Pokémon GO. Niantic has stated that the chance of encountering a shiny will be higher on Saturday than on Sunday.
Finally, in keeping with the Shaymin theme, a Pikachu wearing a special Shaymin-inspired Gracidea flower costume will be available in one-star Raids and out in the wild.
You can check out more in-depth details via the official announcement page.

Shiny Numel is the main attraction. 🥰
What an adorable little hedgehog, Shaymin's one of the best 'cute' mythicals imo. I do love all of them though so take that for what you will.
Also, every time I see a Shelmet now I get war flashbacks to my shiny hunt for it in Shield that took approximately 750 eggs to get. I love my pink banana but jesus it was painful.
