Update: Nintendo has made it official now - confirming the next event will be the Amsterdam Tour, including the new course Amsterdam Drift:
A fourth wave of Mii Racing Suits has also been teased:
Original: Nintendo has revived Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's done with the mobile game Mario Kart Tour. In fact, this other entry in the series is still getting regular content updates, and some of the tracks have even carried across to the Switch version's DLC.
So what's next for Tour? Although it's a "bit early", the game's official account on Twitter has teased a shot of what's next. The general consensus seems to be that Mario and the gang are off to somewhere in the Netherlands (Amsterdam perhaps?) - with Rosalina and Daisy in themed attire.
"It's a bit early, but here's a sneak peek at the next tour in #MarioKartTour! We received a delightful photo from Rosalina and Daisy who just arrived at the next destination. Feel the gentle spring breeze as you race through this next city!"
With Mario Kart 8 Deluxe now getting additional DLC made up of six waves, 12 cups, and 48 courses, there's already speculation that this new track could eventually be added to the Switch version.
What do you make of the above teaser? Are you still playing Mario Kart Tour on a regular basis? Leave a comment down below.

I want as many new tracks made for Tour in the booster pass as possible. The Tokyo/Paris/Ninja Hideaway tracks are the best ones of the last pack; they might have looked more basic visually but at least they’re new (to me anyway, and I imagine to a lot of other people too).
So, what's the best guess on how often on a monthly bases we'll be receiving these new DLC courses and if there will be bonus unlockables like characters or karts?
Time Trials are available for some of the new courses, so that must mean there has to be some sort of reward planned out, right?
Edit: I thought this was Booster Course DLC for MK8 but I read the title wrong
Mario kart devs:

It's definitely Amsterdam. A "Toad Shopping Plaza Amsterdam" badge was added to the game in February of last year, and datamines also indicate this with a course named "Moba" in the files (every Tour exclusive has the Mob prefix and a letter or 2 indicating what city they are). I've seen people try to claim it's Zaandam and Volendam based on the artwork, but more likely than not, they're just a section of the stage, akin to how Los Angeles has sections based on Santa Monica and Inglewood
Holland. Filler
Don't really play Tour but all of the artwork gives me life. Daisy's little hair bow and overalls is just 👌
Hey Nintendo, I have this amazing idea for a course.
It's called "Refund". It's a course that ends support for this game and gives everyone who was silly enough to give money to this game their money back. If you make this course Nintendo, I guarantee that it'll make headlines. I hope you consider my idea Nintendo. Have a great day! 😊
@Cinderace ummmm… how exactly is that filler? I mean sure it’s not an insanely iconic city like New York or Paris, but neither is Vancouver which also got a track?
I actually like Daisy Hills. But then MK7 is an all time favorite for me
Looks like the windmills and buildings in 3DS Daisy Hills, but a Netherlands course would also be cool. I'm good with anything at this point.
So it’s daisy hills for the next tour
@1UP_MARIO Daisy Hills has been in Tour since it first released
As a Dutchie living on the other side of the planet I’m excited at the prospect of racing through my homeland!
As a Dutchie, I do hope this will also be added to the MK8D DLC.
And they should design the track based on the Zandvoort F1 circuit. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circuit_Zandvoort
@Awesomebird25 I know but the picture so much looks like it. That’s the first track I thought of after seeing the image
Being Dutch myself this might get me back into the game. I'm curious to see how they've portrayed my hometown.
I wonder if there is a secret path through a coffee shop....
So happy... racing in my home town... with a good chance it will come to mk8 now too..
bonus points if it incluides cycles to avoid
@PARK1755 ok i'm biased, but i would definitely rank amsterdam as an iconic city... the most liberal placve on earth!
(and for the japanese themselves for sure, they built an entire amusement park based on NL called Huis Ten Bosch https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huis_Ten_Bosch_(theme_park))
yes!
my home country is being represented
you know how rare that is? despite how influential we are
@DragotheKomodo Indeed if you look at the list of Dutch representation in video games you'll see that it's a very short list:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Video_games_set_in_the_Netherlands
However this list strangely doesn't include Davilex games (A2 Racer, etc)
@JnFnRu They already use a lot of rather magical mushrooms in the game so it wouldn‘t surprise me
Thought this was for Mario kart 8 deluxe lol.. but its a cell phone game...moving on
@1UP_MARIO I know what you mean. My first thought was hey, they're adding Moo Moo Meadows to Mario Kart Tour, cool.
@romanista Oh hey thanks for the info! Sorry, I hope it didn’t seem as though I didn’t care about the city lol, it’s a really pretty place.
Cool, put it in the booster pass please.
Looks good. Hopefully Amsterdam Drift is added in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC down the line.
Yesterday, I thought that Mario kart tour was going to tease Cairo Crossway or Rome Raceway, but the photo showed Amsterdam Drift instead.
@Ade117 same
@sanderev same goes for game characters with a Dutch nationality

I actually downloaded Tour a couple days ago because of how jealous I was of the constant influx of updates and content; makes the MK8D booster pack look like a snail. I swear, the sheer number of menus I had to go through, "ok" buttons I had to tap, and the unbelievably busy and obfuscating menu layout ensured that I closed the game before I even got to a race. Definitely my "old man yells at cloud" moment 🤣
Amsterdam Drift??? More like Amsterdam Spliffed ✌️😁
Why don't these racing games ever set their courses somewhere in Africa for once. We've seen enough of Europe and the west. Imagine Mario and the gang racing through a market in Lagos, Nigeria or the dessert in Namibia or a beachside in Kumasi, Ghana. So much untapped potential. Shows the lack of Poc that work in these companies
@JnFnRu Or even better, a mushroom shop.
@Airzeh I remember scaring a giraffe in cruis'n the world! But that was n64! 😅
My home county!!
Glad to see Daisy is coming home!
Now where's the "chill plant" based kyte?! 😂🌿✌️
@Airzeh An African course would be great!
@Airzeh
Heck, even racing through the Sahara or somewhere like the pyramids in Egypt would be great. Given the amount of desert courses in the series, I'm kind of shocked they don't have a Cairo map that takes us through the city and into the pyramids right next to it.
Though to be fair, aren't Asian people considered "POC"? (Which are the primary people who work at Nintendo--a Japanese company.)
@PARK1755 I said filler becuase I couldn’t just post holland. It was filler trxt
@Cinderace Oh my bad mate, lol.
