The creator of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate arguably deserves some much needed time off, but it sounds like Masahiro Sakurai is back at it again. This time, however, his work might not be game-related.

As reported by our friends at GoNintendo, the industry legend shared some comments with Famitsu that suggests he is already knee-deep in a new project.

I have been away for awhile now, but I am working on something. My eyes may be a little tired. You may see me in the near future in a place that has nothing to do with game production. You may or may not be able to see me. I hope to see you again in the future. Thank you very much for your time.

Sounds pretty cryptic to us. Will we see the fruit of Sakurai's labours again soon? If so, it sounds like he's dipping his toes into something completely different. Previously, he has stated that it would be best for fans to "forget about me for a while", stressing that doing anything else would take some time.

Whatever he's up to, Sakurai tends to be fairly active on social media, so be sure to check out his Twitter page for any new updates and let us know below what you'd like to see him do.
