A hack-and-slash crossover of two titans of the genre, Neptunia and Senran Kagura, was confirmed for a Western release last year — and now we have an exact release date for Neptunia X Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars of April 19th in North America and April 22nd in Europe.
The game combines the two nations from Neptunia and Senran Kagura, pitting them against one another in an all-out war. You will be able to choose two of ten characters to adventure with, attempting to prove yourselves as the strongest ninja school once and for all.
New content for the Switch version includes:
- Hard Mode
- Easy Mode
- 8 costumes, originally released as PS4 DLC, included for free
- All sub-events from previous patches
- A sub-event which consolidates all three stories
There will also be a limited edition ($99.99), which includes a game case, trading card, wall scroll, art book, and soundtrack, as well as a standard physical edition ($49.99). Both are available to wishlist right now.

Ah hack n slash. The genre that makes you feel like a one man army.😁
@Greatluigi Given the subject material, ‘sack n gash’ is probably more fitting.
Soon yours to own in pervertuity.
Didn't see this one coming
They added both a hard Mode and easy mode to the Switch Version.
The reception of this game must been a cavalcade of confusion.
cute anime waifus = instant day 1 buy
10 characters sounds a little...scarce doesn't it?
I don't expect a KoeiWarriors lineup but that barely covers either series roster :/
Will probably get this down the line (though on Steam if it releases there).
Not very familiar with Neptunia but I have enjoyed Senran Kagura games. Still need a proper SK game on Switch, and this roster seems a bit small to me.
@nessisonett sack and gash?
@MegaVel91 All I can say is use Urban Dictionary. I’d be flirting with danger attempting to explain.
I clicked to see some screenshots and was disappointed...
Day one physical!
I haven't played any of the games in the series, but if there's two things I love, its hack and slashes, and wifu's, probably going to pick it up if it reviews well.
@MegaVel91 Both series have a reputation for overtly sensual overtones.
The word "gash" has a very different meaning in the UK.
I wish they'd port the SK Shinovi/Estival Versus games with the much larger casts, but this will do I suppose.
The only thing I'm disappointed with is that there aren't more SK girls. Seems very bare-boned.
@Silly_G the way it's meant to be enjoyed 😎
Did they only just announce the release date? I knew the date already
@RR529 it's coming to steam, so i think it would be a better buy there, given IF's bad track record of switch ports
Nepu Nepu Nepu!
I only needed to see the headline to know the author was Kate. Bravo, comrade!
Hopefully it’s not censored like the PS4 release was.
@nessisonett looked it up...does anyone have any brain bleach?
Ha ha ha. I love hack n slash games but, um, no thank you
Me and my sis enjoyed both series (despite the -ehem-).
She got addicted to the Neptunia series after playing Super and started playing the older games right after. She just finished SK Estival Versus on Steam too.
On my watch list. I'm actually still waiting for a Senran 3. Never dabbled with the spin-offs so this could be interesting.
@nessisonett Thsts not a good way to describe strong female characters just because their series has excellent fanservice.
Will get the game. But I don't like the idea of releasing a game on Playstation only to add fanservice later on Switch. Makes me kinda feel cheated into buying the Playstation version if I buy it.
I just hope that they port SK games to the Nintendo switch
