Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham Collection could be potentially released on the Nintendo Switch in the future.
A Switch listing on the French retail website WTT currently has a placeholder release date of August 31st, 2022 - with the game priced at €59.99. The same site previously listed The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt port.
The Arkham Collection is made up of Arkham Knight, Arkham City and Arkham Asylum. The Switch hasn't seen any Arkham Batman games released on it, although Telltale released its episodic Batman series on the platform.
Before then, the last major Batman games on a Nintendo system were Batman: Arkham Origins and Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition on the Wii U. Would you like to play this collection on Switch? Tell us down below.

Day one day one day one!
This would be amazing.
Definitely would be great to have those games on the Switch
Already have them on the Xboxes, but great to see them coming to the Switch.
I have my fingers crossed. I loved playing Arkham City on WiiU.
Day one, pending performance!
Wouldn't Arkham Knight be a bit of a push to run on the Switch? Either way Asylum and City are two of my favourite games of that generation, both incredible games.
The little machine that never stops giving
Arkham City is my favourite game and I will play it on every system it seems.
But I really want to play Arkham Origins again without having to dig out my PS3
Can't wait for people to be upset that it's $60
as if it literally is supposed to be any other price.
Hope this doesn't end up like the GTA ports.
Hope this is true. Day one purchase. Amazing games
I loved the 2 Arkham games on the Wii U, but the port of Arkham Asylum on the PS4 seemed determined to make me have a seizure with it’s 15fps graphics. Not holding out much hope for Arkham Knights performance on the Switch….
Hopefully, everything on cartridge...?
I think it will be ports of the UE4 re-releases.
I hope they get atleast a stable 30fps performance, the original graphics quality should not be too taxing and UE games run fine on switch.
This sounds great even if I've just bought Asylum and Knight on Steam in a sale. 60€ sounds like a bargain to me especially if they it comes with all the dlcs (there was quite a lot for Knight).
Just wonder if they can make Knight play well on Switch? It's a PS4 game after all.
They will butcher it and put only one of the games on the cart.
@Drommajin I doubt it. Alone Knight with all of its dlc weighs in 71 GB on Steam.
Ha! I was going to predict something Batman related for the Direct next week. Won't bother now.
Probably a one on cart that came with download code collection. For this I don't really mind as there's no version I like over the other so whichever they include on cart is okay. If it's just a code in a box, I'll probably get it digital anyways.
I would certainly get this...for 19.99... if it actually works properly.
Really fun games. Never finished City as my Xbox 360 stopped reading discs midway through. Would definitely pick these up at some point assuming it gets a quality port like sWitcher 3.
I'd buy them discounted but at this point kind of owned the game on too many consoles to pay full price for them again. Plus WB games drop in price super fast anyway. For that matter both the PS4 and One versions of Arkham City run terribly so not a lot of confidence in a Switch port of that same version.
That said I'd probably be much more interested if they just inexplicably left Arkham Knight out of it and put in Origins instead.
Oh sweet! Can you please do mass effect next?
I think Return to Arkham collection is the most likely one, as it only has Arkham Asylum and Arkham City in it. I don't think there is much of a chance for Arkham Knight... unless they go with cloud versions (I hope not).
Replaying Arkham Knight currently. Would definitely welcome this!
Never played them. If they run well enough I’ll buy them.
@shgamer Oh well... what's the point releasing them on the Switch them? Better to release them all separately on cartridge or not release those at all
Great news if true - only played City and Origins on Wii U and Blackgate on 3DS.
Would love to play Knight and Asylum
I have actually been hoping for these games to be released on Switch for a very long time, this would be great if true. They always seemed like such a good fit for the system.
While i already own them on playstation and Pc... I suppose i can purchase it again at a high price just for portable play... I feel these should of came out on switch already years ago, and mgs collection
@noobish_hat Dunno, I was just trying to join in with pointless rumour and speculation.
Cool, I’d buy it on sale. Hope Origins makes it over eventually too, I loved that game.
Oh, that would be great. But, wait... Half game on cartridge, rest to be downloaded.
Oh god yes please!!!!!
With Origins as welll!!!!!
Will 'Arkham Asylum' and 'Arkham City' be the remastered versions from the 'Return to Arkham' double pack that came out in 2016 and include all the downloadable content for the games? I think it would be good if they added 'Arkham Origins' to it too and gave it and 'Arkham Knight' remastered versions like the first two. 'Arkham Origins' was very underrated and I still enjoy playing that game and a remastered version would give them the chance to get rid of the glitches in the game people complained about.
I bought Asylum on 360, City on Wii U (beat both) and am playing Knight on XSX. I'd love to have all 3 on one system but I'll probably pass on this. Although it has been a while since I played the first two games so if the price is ever low enough I would double dip. Assuming this does happen, of course.
Cloud edition?
@shgamer Could probably get it running with compromises. We got games like Witcher 3 and Dying Light on Switch and they were PS4/Xbox One games. If I had to guess though this would just be the first two games if only for the amount of work that would need to be done to get Knight on there.
Finally. They really took their time.
It will be day one for me.
Perhaps it will be announced at the Direct that we normally have in or around March?
yes.. yes.. YES! instant day on for me, though if it's not really I'll be feeling punked, ha ha
Day 1 purchase! Batman Arkham games, Mass Effect and Metal Gear are long overdue on Switch!!!!!!
Didn't really like Arkham Knight but Asylum and City for play at home or on the go? Yes, please.
Awesome if so.
This ain't no place for no hero...
Some of my absolute favorite games. I barely played knight though. Realllllly hope this is true.
Just pull a Witcher 3 and put it on one big 32g Cart please and it's a day one for me. Love this trilogy. None of that cloud nonsense tho.
Come to me oh Batman!
There's zero chance this will be released with all 3 games complete on the cart so there will be zero chance of me purchasing it unfortunately.
Asylum and city are amazing. Howbout just skipping the porting of knight to make sure the former two get it just right?
Oh, yeah! This I want! Especially Knight since I never got to play that one.
If they are all 3 on the cart I might buy otherwise forgetaboutit!
I'm 100% sure it's gonna be cloud based bullcrap.
Looking awfully cloudy today
and the games won't be on the cardridge so i will pass once more
All 3 games won't be on a cart, surely!
If true, I'm cautiously optimistic. I've only played Arkham City via the Wii U (excellent game), but I have watched a playthrough online of Arkham Asylum. Hopefully a physical release has everything on cartridge, or at least the download size isn't meaty.
Arkham Knight? I doubt it. All the others (Asylum, City, Origins) should be portable easily enough
@Pat_trick if it's cloud I'm out. Even with how badly I want to try the KH games, I'm not caving to go with a cloud version
Could easily see it being Arkham Asylum, Arkham City and Arkham Origins. I know the original collection doesn’t feature Origins, but I would just love those three on the Switch. Doubtful Arkham Knight could run on the the current Switch, but I wouldn’t miss it as it’s not my favorite one.
@GrailUK Definitely won't be, the XB1 sizes are as follows:
Which gives a total of 134GB, definitely don't see that dropping to under 32GB total for Switch. I'd guess either Arkham Asylum all on a 16GB cart and the other 2 as downloads (like Ezio Collection) or a small part of all 3 on the cart like Bioshock Collection.
Oooooooooooooh, God please, this is a rumour I want to be truth. Maybe an announcement will come on the next Nintendo Direct? I got Arkham Knight on Steam last year, but honestly, it hasn't got me connected yet. I don't have time to play games on my PC, but if it'd came out on the Switch, I'd play the heck out of that game. For the naysayers, a lot of games where said to not be "playable" on the Switch, and after they came, the naysayers had to eat their words and hide in shame.
@Grumblevolcano Oof! Not a fan of multiple partial games at all.
Mediocre series but more than welcome on the Switch.
@dil_power Mass Effect ain’t coming to Switch
@Edu23XWiiU well if the ESRB shows a listing or rating, then I believe this is true
I would like to see it on Switch but I heard the Xbox One and PS4 versions didn’t run so hot. Arkham Knight has its issues on Xbox One and PS4 too
Doubtful on Arkham Knight, but then again we've been surprised so many times so who knows?
Would prefer Origins over Knight but still would welcome being able to play Arkham Asylum and City on Switch.
@AstraeaV Cloud versions don't have a retail version.
Absolutely day one purchase for me! Incredible games
@Stocksy Finally! We just need a Metal Gear collection. Oh and a Kingdom Hearts Collection.
Fan: But Kingdom Hearts is already there via clou.......ugh!!
Me upclose and personal: WE NEED A KINGDOM HEARTS PHYSICAL OR DOWNLOADABLE COLLECTION!!!!
@GrailUK Fine but no cloud versions.
(Gives a dirty look to glitchy Sora on cloud!)
I hope the collection will be 60$ for all the 3 games. Otherwise, it looks like i could save a lot of money from getting third party games on switch, and buying a steam deck, where games will be 80% less pricey.
@Gamer83 Yeah, Knight felt like an incredible story but game wise it was not all that great. City and Origins had a nice balance of story and gameplay overall. Arkham Asylum started it all and is always appreciated.
Ah neat. I've still got the first two, (as well as the prequel Arkham Origins), on my 360. Great games, especially City. I love all the little Batman easter eggs and such you can stumble upon just gliding around the city streets.
The Batman: Return to Arkham remasters (Asylum and City) for PS4 and Xbox One were done by Virtuos that also developed the Bioshock collection, the Dark Souls remaster and Dying Light for Switch amongst others.
Could be a good sign, at least they have duck deep into the code before (although the Arkham remasters weren't that well received I've heard).
Many games yet in the backlog so I'll wait for a regular discount.. and a new memory car!!
Amazing stuff.
@shgamer yeah they weren’t
As long as this isn’t a cloud version or buggy like GTA Trilogy I’ll be all over this. I’m not a fan of Arkham Knight but it will be worth it for the other two.
@anoyonmus well unless you know something I don’t there is no certainty it never will.
It will happen. This is their strategy for 3rd party games until a more powerful console is released.
@NintendoPete
Knight is a very solid game. I played it back on release on PS4.
That said, out of the Rocksteady Arkham trilogy, it has the weakest story. And the Bat Tank sections, while cool at first, will eventually work on your nerves.
I still enjoyed the hell out of it though.
I doubt this will happen. Anyways let's all wait and see if true or those ghost rumors.
YES PLEASE! Dude, all of three of these games were fantastic. I've been a fan since I was a teen.
This would be great!
Welp, mark it down. The time is 10:21 EST on February 6, 2022 and now all of the major third party games I wished would come to Switch have finally arrived. Before this was the Ezio Collection, BioShock trilogy, Alien: Isolation and a few others. The only one left, which may or may not be “major” depending on who you ask, is Rare: Replay. Come on Microsoft, you know you want to!
Loved Origins, great game, the only problem it had was a bug that wouldnt let me get further in the post game
Would love to play this collection too
Please let this be True. I have an Xbox Series S, but I'm holding out and waiting to see if it comes to Nintendo Switch first!
Skeptical. But please Lord, let this be true.
This would be amazing if true.
@BulkSlash considering the Arkham Collection wasn’t very well received on Xbox One and PS4 iirc. I don’t think the switch version will be good.
Especially knight
@shgamer can you explain how bad it was on Xbox one and PS4. Like graphically, there is no change?
Played you like a violin and cut your strings!
I'd rather have Asylum, City, and Origins than Knight, but I can't imagine they could get all this on cartridge.
Great news! This has to be THE game I wanted on switch te most. But august is a little bit to late. I’ll have my steamdeck by then, so I see no need to buy this in switch too. But to anyone with only a switch, these are some of the best action games out there.
This would be the last big Switch port I have been waiting for in terms of 360 era games. Please, please, please, let this be true.
@anoyonmus I must admit, I wasn’t impressed with the changes Virtuos made to the Arkham games on PS4/Xbox One. It looked superficially similar but the colours of everything were way off and on the One X they had City running at 45fps for some reason even though there was a bug that unlocked the frame rate which ran at 60fps… 🙄
I didn’t think Virtuos did a good job of Bioshock on Switch either, as they didn’t bother to include gyro aiming. Ideally I’d like the Wii U version of City, Unreal Engine 3 should fly on the Switch and the additions to that version were really good.
Big Batman fan but never played these games so would buy them. Worry is that City and Knight likely won't be on the cartridge or (even worse) they are all cloud versions. If this is real, that is.
Yet another decade old port that will cost £50
Only positive for me is that this probably means there's a direct coming soon
@anoyonmus I haven't played them myself, but I've heard that graphically they looked a bit "odd" compared to the originals. Maybe there were framerate issues too. Maybe look them up on Youtube or something.
@UltimateOtaku91 well it’s 3 games which are pretty good so I guess it should be worth it in the long run
@BulkSlash but Bioshock ran well on Switch for the most part. That’s all it matters..
And btw, Switch didn’t have UE3 support irrc when it launched. They had to tailor it in or do some work to fit it in
@MysteryCupofJoe
The Batmobile segments, which I was really hyped about at first, actually brought Knight down the most for me. Couldn't stand those. Story was ok but I enjoyed Asylum's and City's a lot more. On the positive side, the Batgirl DLC was short but great.
@AstraeaV if it’s cloud, why is it on retail
@Tisteg80 these games took up a lot of space on other consoles. Also blame Nintendo for sticking to cartridges which don’t have a lot of storage space in it
@anoyonmus Let's wait and see.
@Gamer83 Yeah, the forced sections with the Batmobile really cut the pace of the game. Forcing it on every part of the game made the game hard to love. But I know I'd complete it on my Switch.
@Edu23XWiiU depends if Arkham Knight can run on Switch anyway
@Edu23XWiiU yeah
@Edu23XWiiU
I'd complete it again as well. I've played worse games, this one was just very disappointing after how much I loved Asylum and City.
@WillQuan could be but they did get doom eternal to run so AK shouldn’t be impossible really
I can see them putting in Arkham Origins and taking out Arkham Knight.
Ahhh!
AHHHHH!!!!
Finally!!!
Been waiting for these for sooo long. Was resigned to just playing on SteamDeck. But I'd much rather play on the lightweight, OLED screen Switch.
Guess 100m consoles sold really does carry clout. WB is like fine... port the Batman.
If true and decent to good ports (and not cloud versions), would be a day 1(or close to) buy for me.
Yes please.
Where's Alan Wake? Wasn't that coming out soon?
Where's Outer Wilds?
Where's Fall Guys?
Where's House of the Dead?
They didn't run great on Wii U, the two that got released on it. Hopefully if they do come to Switch they'll run better.
i worry about the state of a physical release though. If there was indeed a collection package released at retail I doubt all the games would fit on one cartridge, they were quite large on Wii U.
I should start putting together a list of games I want to rebuy portably on Switch and see if the total comes out to the cost of a Steam Deck or not. Buying the Deck regardless, just wondering if Switch tax makes it so it's a bad deal to buy it on Switch
If this happens oh my god! day one!
Love Arkham games
Day one for me as long it's on cartridge
@UmbreonsPapa well it’s on retail so I don’t see how it is a cloud version
I would love to have all the Batman Arkham games on my switch!
@Mirage-5x5 not all of it on cartridge
@shgamer probably because they ported it to UE4 I think
@Gamer83 Yeah, I loved Asylum and City (played the Armored Edition on Wii U), those two games are the perfect Batman games. Origins is great as well, the boss fights are fantastic!
@anoyonmus It can run on the Switch.
Arkham Asilum e Arkam City i can see Switch running, but Arkham Knight is gonna be a cloud version on Switch(Switch sadly can't run this game).
@Edu23XWiiU it can run on Switch but the developers are gonna make it run bad on Switch
I don’t think the developers could even make it run well on Switch. I think it had its own share of framerate issues on PS4 (not much but it was there).
Yes I think the Switch is capable of running Arkham Knight but I don’t see the developers doing any effort with it.I see them having it run poorly
@Giancarlothomaz nope
Switch can run this game but the developers are gonna do a poor job on it.
I would think Arkham Knight would be a cloud version.
For 60 friggin' Euros, it would be criminal not to include the entirety of the collection on a cartridge.
Yes please! This 1 would be a day 1 for me too!!
@Silly_G it can’t. It’s more than 100 GB on other consoles. I can’t see this being all on one cartridge.
Blame Nintendo for sticking to cartridges if you are gonna complain about this
@IceClimbers if it’s retail, it cant be a cloud version.
At best digital download ig
"Before then, the last game to be released was on a Nintendo system was Batman: Arkham Origins on the Wii U"
Not true, City had a special version on the Wii U too
With City running with awful frame drops on base PS4 and never patched, I wouldn't hold out for good performance.
@anoyonmus : Apples and oranges. DOOM 2016 is about 78GB on PC but 22GB on Switch (only 14GB if only counting the single-player campaign).
And there have been plenty of multiplatform releases where the Switch version is significantly smaller than those on rival platforms.
Considering the drastically lower specs of the Switch, the size of most games can be reduced by a significant margin.
And the use of 32GB carts (or hell, the fabled, but yet-to-materialise 64GB carts) is long overdue. We are now approaching the fifth year of the Switch's lifespan. It absolutely cannot be the case that 32GB cartridges are anywhere near as costly now as they were five years ago.
@anoyonmus Hahahaha you make it sound like you've already play it. Let's wait and see if this turns out to be truth, first, before jumping into conclusions. Soooo many 3rd party games on Switch were supposed to work "bad", but they ended up being great games, with great gameplay.
@Rika_Yoshitake If half of them are digital download-only, then I'd say some backlash is warranted.
I can't imagine if they'll be able too fit Arkham Knight, but if they can't, they probably shouldn't.
Witcher 3 is probably the only large scale PS4 game that was compressed and ported over to Switch and imagine that it took a lot of effort too do so.
I have them all on PC (including Origins) and love them. Asylum and City are still two of the best superhero games I’ve ever played.
This is where the fun begins.
Don’t really care about Knight, but will definitely touch the other two.
Also anyone that keeps bringing up how big a game is on Steam is being nonsensical. Plenty of Switch versions have substantially lower download sizes.
I really hope we don't get a cloud version of the games. After Square did it with KH, I hope other companies don't follow his example.
If these are all on the cart I’ll snap it up but not even sure that’s be possible. This is great for anyone who hasn’t played these gems tho. These are great interpretations of Batman, we need more.
@Edu23XWiiU actually I have played it before at a friends house. Runs great on PS4.
And if it does come to Switch. I don’t have high hopes for it tbh
@Silly_G you are talking about a singular game.
These are THREE big games in one. Can’t fit on a cartridge.
Name a trilogy of games on Switch that are all on a cartridge and are not cloud versions. Also open world
@RCGamer yes but City released on Wii U at launch iirc which was 2012 I think.
Arkham Origins released in 2013. So technically the last Batman arkham game on Wii U is origins
Long time coming, but better late than never. Glad to see more standout third party titles from the PS360 era(and one from the early days of PS4/XB1) coming to switch.
@Rika_Yoshitake $20 a game for new ports sounds pretty reasonable
@anoyonmus I think black gate hd game out after that
@faint oh yeah I forgot about that
Been desperately hoping this would come to Switch. I had pretty much accepted it would never happen...
Yet lo and behold, the listings and leaks have proceedeth forth!
Day one physical. Day one digital. I need this NOW!
@JaxonH well its just a listing. Until we see something that is more credible like a ESRB rating, take this with a grain of salt.
@anoyonmus
True, except we do have more than a listing.
An Xbox podcaster that doesn't even normally deal with Switch leaks actually leaked this game for Switch, and told his listeners they "probably wouldn't care because it's not Xbox related, but his source has confirmed Batman Arkham is coming to Nintendo Switch"
So the listing, combined with the Xbox leak, that's enough that I feel confident treating this as all but confirmed.
@JaxonH so a leaker/ insider then huh? Even MORE to take a grain of salt.
That being said if the Arkham collection does become a reality, a Nintendo Direct in February would be the best time to reveal it. An ESRB rating would be believable because we have ratings leaked ahead of time and it turns out the game is true (Castlevania Advance Collection, Lego Marvel Super Heroes being some examples) Also btw I think Alan Wake Remastered could be announced there too because it was actually rated for Switch from the ESRB (The US, Canada rating system). I checked it and it is still there for Switch so it could be announced there too.
And no, I do not think this Alan Wake Remastered is a cloud version for Switch. I also think the Arkham collection is not a cloud version but very likely all digital download or half- and- half. Here is why.
I did some searching around the ESRB website and I found some very interesting things. I searched up Control Ultimate Edition (which is a cloud version on Switch and Stadia (not surprising for Stadia because it is a cloud platform). There is only a listing for Stadia version of Control Ultimate Edition but no Switch. The same thing happened when I searched up Hitman 3 and the 2021 Guardians Of The Galaxy game. No Switch version (even though it is on cloud). Same with Kingdom Hearts.
And yes, the cloud versions of games on Switch are in USA and I can see them.
But what is interesting here is that the ESRB DOES NOT SHOW cloud games for Switch even though it is rated.
But when I typed in Alan Wake Remastered, it shows Nintendo Switch as a platform. So therefore I think Alan Wake Remastered is in fact a native version on Switch.
And yes, I think Arkham Collection (if it is real) for Switch is native (even though I am not confident about Arkham Knight running well on Switch). If it is a cloud game, then why is it on a retail website? Cloud games don't appear on retail. Only physical and some digital games appear there.
And also to note that you might be right about the Arkham collection (if it is real) coming to Switch. This website that leaked Arkham for Switch has also actually leaked the Sonic Collection (Sonic Origins that was announced back in 2021) and ALSO the Switch version of THE WITCHER 3. So this website might be right. But we can't be 100% sure about it. It is highly likely the website is right but we still need to be cautious.
https://www.esrb.org/search/?searchKeyword=Alan%20Wake%20Remastered&platform=All%20Platforms&rating=E%2CE10%2B%2CT%2CM%2CAO&descriptor=All%20Content&pg=1&searchType=All
Here is the ESRB website btw
@WillQuan Yes. Its a beefy PS4/XBONE game alright, the only way that's coming to Switch is through streaming.
@anoyonmus
If it was only a leaker, perhaps. But it's the combination of both the retail listing from a site that previously leaked Witcher 3 and Assassin's Creed Ezio Collection, and a leaker that has no reason to put forth wrong info since they're Xbox focused, that leads us to infer the probability of both happening incorrectly by random chance is too small to be considered statistically significant. Ergo, I'm taking it as all but confirmed.
Good catch on the ratings btw. I think that pretty much seals the deal in terms of the whole cloud discussion. Of course, retail listings don't exist for cloud games anyways. Even Arkham Knight could be made to run on Switch if they're porting the other two games already. Swap assets for lower res versions similar to the 7th gen entries, lower particle effects as needed, and there ya go. It's now a "7th gen friendly" version of Arkham Knight.
Either way, I just want Arkham Asylum and City. Those are the 2 I really care about. But getting Knight tossed in as well? Sure, I'll take it. I'd even take Batman Arkham Origins in place of Arkham Knight if that was their solution to Knight running on Switch.
Also, ditto on Alan Wake Remastered. I've been patiently waiting for that one to get announced. And patiently waiting for the Steam version once Epic exclusivity ends. Though, I do already own the original Steam version. And frankly, how different is it really going to look? I can already run at 4k 60fps at high settings.
Great news! I assume this will be similar to the way Mortal Kombat was handled on the Switch, which I've enjoyed way more than expected. I'm usually all physical, but Switch has been a mess with the additional downloads, so I'm expecting a monster download for the physical version. I'm just interested to see how or if they try to run Arkham knight here.
@JaxonH thanks for mentioning my catch. You have indeed looked at the ESRB website. Also it shows Stadia games but not Switch cloud versions (probably because Switch is a console first and foremost)
And yeah you might be right. I hope it is true. Maybe it is for all we know.
Lets wait and see how the cards play out from Rocksteady
@Gwynbleidd its on a retail website. Cloud games don't appear on retail websites.
At best, I think Arkham Knight is gonna be digital only while the other 2 are gonna be on cart. Or one game will be on cart and the other two will be digital
@Gwynbleidd I haven't played Arkham Asylum but I have played Arkham City on my friend's Xbox 360. Its pretty fun and the story is nice.
The same friend also let me play Arkham Knight on his PS4. The game is really fun for the most part. The Batmobile sections imo aren't bad and are kinda fun but the game does use it too much.
All 3 games are worth playing though imo.
Have these on ps4, haven't even manage to finish the first one
They will put the smallest game in the Cartridge and tell you to download the other two. The Arkham Knight is already 45GB.
@Serpo I am gonna be honest.
But in this day and age, putting one game on a cartridge and two games being download only is MILES better than a cloud version.
At this point even these things are better than a cloud version. You're still playing it natively on hardware
I wonder who is porting them over?
Asylum and City will both look and run great for sure! Knight on the other hand seems very difficult to optimize for switch. Also a big install will most likely be required.
@liam_doolan sorry to be pedantic, but wasn’t the last one we saw the Wii U version of Origins:Blackgate?
@noobish_hat historically, we’ve had a mid-Feb Direct for 9 of the last 10 years, so odds are we’ll get one in the fortnight.
Fork yeah!
I played them all on PC but would play them again on the Switch.
Buuuut… should I get my Steam Deck before that and should they run on that I will not buy them again… I think.
It would be very interesting to see how they would adapt the games to the Switch hardware. Arkham Knight was particularly taxing on the GPU.
I hope Arkham Knight won't be a cloud version :c
I hope it's all on cart with no downloads! That would make it a Day 1 Purchase. I never got the Wii U versions of City and Origins, since I had them on PC, but I'll definitely bite here if it's an all-physical release.
Nah, i can see Asylum and City, maybe even Origins but i doubt the Switch could run Knight, not without significant work involved
|Yes please, stick Origins on there too please
Arkham Asylum I can play yearly and have it be fun. City for some reason I can’t get into! I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because I always try to play it back to back and it just feels more like the same… anyway, this is great news… I would probably buy it to have on switch which makes it the 4th or 5th time purchasing the games 😂 they’re really very good!
@TheStardustWarrior only AC though. Asylum I think shouldn't be a problem.
Its Arkham Knight I am worried about
@MrEvol94 I think AK is doable but I don't think it will be on cartridge
@Mach_Rider 3 BIG games on ONE cartridge?
Yeah fat chance of that happening. The collection took up more than a 100 GB on Xbox One iirc. I can see the collection with one or two games on cartridge and others on digital download. Cartridges do not have that much space. Blame Nintendo if this doesn't happen because they are the ones sticking with cartridges
@NutmegFig its on retail. Cloud games do not appear on retail.
When is the next Direct? There are a handful of leaks surfacing that seem to point to a new Direct coming very shortly.
@anoyonmus
I never said ONE cartridge. I'd be fully OK with individual releases for each of the games, as long as they're on cart. The collection likely won't be a "complete" package anyway, since it was missing the "Origins" titles on other platforms. I'm also not against a Doom-like release, where part of the game is on a cart and the rest is a download. I just don't want codes-in-a-box. "Asylum" and "City" can fit on a single cart (based on PC requirements for the games) and there's leftover space for basic data for "Knight" (with the rest being a download), if they go for a 32GB cartridge.
Awesome games either way.
@kal_el_07241 Wasn't the direct predicted for next week? Could turn out true.
So seeings as this was not mentioned in the Direct on Thursday, Is there really much chance holding out for this 1?
