If you haven't tried out the Metal Slug style run-and-gun game Mighty Goose yet, you might want to hurry up.
After a teaser back in October last year, Blastmode studio creator Richard Lems has now revealed a whole new "wet and wild" mission is on the way. It'll be an entirely free update in the form of a water-themed stage, and will be accessible to everyone who has defeated the final boss in the base game.
"Mighty Goose, our legendary bounty hunter, embarks on an all-new mission! A wet and wild journey awaits you in this brand-new water-themed stage that will come in the form of a free update.
As noted in the trailer above, it's "coming soon". For anyone who hasn't tried this game out yet, it's well worth a look if you're a fan of this genre. Here's a bit about it from our Nintendo Life review:
"Other than the overly chaotic nature of the action, Mighty Goose is a visual treat, oozing style with its character and environmental design. The companions are also well realised, and can actually be played by a second person via co-op, although their abilities are arguably far inferior to Mighty Goose itself. Regardless, whether you play on your own or with a friend, Mighty Goose is a blast, and while it’s a bit short-lived at three-to-four hours, it’s definitely worth a shot if you’re up for some over-the-top run 'n' gun action."

I remember them saying it was “coming soon” in early December. Anyway, I liked this game, but lamented the lack of diagonal aiming. I’ll play this update when it comes out soon.
That surfing part reminds me of California Games
This game was really good, if a little messy at times with all the insane action obstructing your view on enemy projectiles 😄. But yeah, i really enjoyed this one and it's so lovingly crafted! Excited for this update!
ohhhhhhhh, i had an absolute blast when i found mighty goose on game pass. i'm looking forward to this.
Looks pretty cool and always nice to see free DLC
Bring back the weekly Box Art Brawls.
Yet they still can't fix the number one issue with this game- the fact that you can't distinguish your bullets from that of enemies.
Come on, it's game design 101 when it comes to these sort of games. Contra did it like 30 years ago, and so did Metal Slug. Instead of peddling more content, they should have focused on this first. Smh.
We need another alien hominid game
