We don't know about you, but we find it fantastic that we live in a world where having a disability doesn't mean you can't truly excel – and in HanDcapableSean's case, it's playing brutally difficult video games really well using his chin.
Sean's focus is retro gaming, and he's completed some seriously difficult titles – in many cases without losing a life – such as Actraiser 2, Castlevania, Castlevania 3, Zelda 2, Contra, Ninja Gaiden, Super Mario Bros: Lost Levels and the entire Donkey Kong Country Series, amongst others. More recently, Sean managed to finish Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the NES without dying once. Using his chin!
Using a specially-adapted controller and software which allows him to remap controller inputs (not totally dissimilar to the Hori Flex controller), Sean's quest to finish insanely hard video games can be followed on Twitch. We'd highly recommend you give his channel a watch and show your support, because this guy's talents are downright incredible.

Amazing, I will remember this next time I'm struggling with anything.
Thats very impressive! I love how people still find a way to play games, even if they can't use there hands, or both arms, and so on, its inspiring!
(I made an edit because I didn't know they were disabled, so my bad)
Damn this is impressive! TMNT is very hard and this dude is killing it!
PS: It is also one of the best games on the NES
@Snatcher I mean I'm sure he would use his hands if he could..
Amazing.
I guess he don't care for easy mode, the tougher the challenge the better.
Wow, that's one way to keep one's chin up, I guess. Respect!
Nice job! Love these kinds of stories.
What a legend! This guy has more skill in his chin than some folks do in their hands!
Proof that gaming is for everybody and every body
This person single-handedly increases the éliteness of all gamers everywhere... nay, the éliteness of this whole planet. Let everyone learn from his example! May the fur on his face grow ever longer!
There’s some great streams in the Retro section of Twitch
@CANOEberry You mean "single-chinedly"?
Beating those games with just his chin? I'd struggle with 3 hands!
@damo Do you mean “Some of Video Gaming’s Hardest Titles” rather than “Some of THE Video Gaming’s Hardest Titles”?
@Markiemania95 Well spotted - the headline underwent quite a few revisions, and that 'the' was clearly rogue!
This dude is a badass and an inspiration for many!

@Darkyoshi98 famously accessible and chin-compatible console the NES
@Darkyoshi98 Ah, so you too are disabled and can't use your hands and beat these games using your chin while using original hardware? How impressive you are as well it turns out!
Love this story; props to this chap.
@Darkyoshi98 What do you stand to gain by acting like a complete melon?
If anyone can beat TMNT with their chin, hands, foot, etc., then it doesn't even matter how they did it... I still couldn't get past that final hallway without Game Genie assistance.
It's a bit upsetting to learn that someone's chin is better than both my hands. This is pretty incredible to see someone get over (for the lack of a better word) his disability.
That's quite the list of tough games he's mastered. Very impressive. It shows, too, that his controller setup, however it works, allows for a good level of precision to play those games at that level. That's not always a given. I tried out Actraiser 2 earlier this year and I found it frustrating, despite how nice it looks, because the precision the game demands is quite high in spots. There were times I knew exactly what to do, but actually executing that was difficult because of the speed of the character and the jumping range. That's the most recent one I'm familiar with. And I'm quite familiar with several others there like the Castlevania games, Turtles, Ninja Gaiden, among others. I also like his taste in games. I wonder if he likes Batman for the NES. Beating the Joker shouldn't be too big of a chore for him. Again, very impressive gaming accomplishment, and would be so using typical control methods as well.
Edit: Demon's Crest has a secret last boss that, in my opinion, is extremely hard. That might be a worthwhile challenge for him to take on.
@nessisonett Well, not any further posting on NintendoLife.
I'm lucky if I beat any game with my hands. I can't even imagine doing it this way, and much less so against the brutally difficult games he selects.
This also reinforces my personal gaming rule: No complaining about controllers. It's on me if it's not happening on the screen.
@sdelfin For what it's worth, he has beaten the Sunsoft NES Batman on stream. However, he has not beaten the Dark Demon boss for Demon's Crest.
@sdelfin Dark Demon gives me conniptions.
@PBandSmelly Lol, he says the Chin is down to attend the wedding.
My chin hit the floor. Ninja Gaiden and TMNT with no lives lost is seriously impressive!
I have so many questions… how does the gaming rig work? What is the impact of stubble/beard growth? Has he ever considered becoming the Chin King of Kong?
@timp29 Donkey Kong Country is his favorite series, although I'm not sure if Billy Mitchell could handle the competition if Sean played Donkey Kong Arcade. Lol. As for the rig, he can map it for each game. Usually, Joystick for movement (extreme reaches of stick may be mapped to directional attacks) face buttons are triggered by his tongue against his cheek. The tube is exclusively for breathing. He can manipulate one finger enough to roll a mouse wheel, so sometimes the mouse wheel will be mapped to a basic attack.
@HeroLAT thanks for the info. Hard to see Sean’s movements on the embedded video. I sometimes work with kids with CP and NES was my childhood, it would be interesting to learn more about this stuff
I tip my hat to you.
Crimson Chin would be proud.
Congrats. There are lots of hard games on NES and TMNT is one of those for sure.
At first I only registered the 'beating the games without dying' part, and my first thought was that I've actually done that with some of the games, like TMNT and Zelda 2. (In fact, the first time I managed to beat TMNT at all I took a video of myself beating it, that's how proud I was.) Then I read the 'with his chin' part. Holy crap. I quickly bow to his superiority over myself. I will absolutely watch some of those runs, that is amazing!
It might be worth mentioning that HanDcapableSean streams everyday on Twitch between usually from Noon to 4pm E.T. He's currently on a 355 day streak.
Now that is what im talking about..Finally someone who can beat the games of the 80's and with his chin of all things.. Much respect! a True Gamer! While people play that weak metroid dread this guy beat one the hardest nes games out there with his chin... Lets see some people on here do that or at least play the true hard games of the 80 and stop praising that dread mess
@HeroLAT Thanks for the follow up. I wasn't familiar with Sean until this and those two things, particularly Batman sprung to mind. Batman is one of my favorites on the NES and know the Joker was a tough challenge for many, especially no death. But it's also not crazy hard either to just beat him, but it seemed to be in a similar style to the games mentioned in this article.
