Death's Gambit: Afterlife arrived on the Switch eShop a couple of months ago, bringing the expanded version of the souls-like to eager Ninty gamers. If you like the look of it but really like building up your physical collection, though, you may want to hold fire.
It's getting a rather nice physical edition in Q1 2022, with Europe confirmed at the moment. It'll have a special box, an art book and a double-sided poster.

And this is why I dont buy digital, give it a few months and the physical appears
Nice! I am getting this one!!!
Preordered this weeks ago in the US.
This reminds me I still need to get this game! But I'm not sure if I should wait for a sale...
I thought the whole idea was that the physical carts WEREN’T tasty… 😋
I spent some time with the PS4 version, and honestly it's not a very good game. There are much better games of this type in fact they are a dime a dozen on Switch. Looking at all the so called QOL updates for the Switch version and I'm not sure if it warrants a second look. Maybe its me but the fun factor is a bit low and it's kind of a slog to play, I don't know we'll see.
I actually just deleted this game after getting 2 different endings. It was a very bad game. Just not fun at all. I dreaded finishing it but my OCD made me.
@harrystein I'm curious, were you specifically playing the Afterlife version of the game or the original? I've heard that Afterlife is supposedly much better than the original.
What made the game not fun? Do you enjoy Dark Souls style games?
