Last May, you might remember how the company Hobonichi Shinbun (owned by Mother series' creator Shigesato Itoi) launched the 'Hobonichi Mother Project'.
It included a Pollyanna tribute comic - featuring comics and illustrations handled by 35 manga artists and writers - including Toby Fox (Undertale). Now, in an update, Pollyanna 2 has been announced:
Pre-orders will open in Japan later this month on 21st October and the book will go on sale on 28th October. Toby Fox also returns!

Mother remasters confirmed!
Since nobody will comment about the actual comic: I adore the style, it's so weird and charming in tune with the games, I'm not much of a collector of merchandise, but I'll look into buying a copy if it ever makes its way to the west, maybe if they sell a lot of copies they'll see that this franchise has a very big following, especially as of late.
They brought back Advance Wars, maybe they can bring the Mother series back in the same way? I wouldn't even mind WayForward doing it, I think their art style could benefit those wacky games.
Ah, I knew this wouldn't just peter out like it was nothing. I still believe that some kind of game announcement will come out of this, most likely being a Mother trilogy remake.
I was pleasantly surprised to see official art of the Deltarune cast in Mother character attire, made me squee! In fact, it was the first time we saw Ralsei in that dapper suit before chapter 2 released
+25 years and this game is still being cherished, what a magical thing it is. its one of the few times i wish i could replay a game for the first time again

Can you imagine a remake of Earthbound done in the style of that cover art?
People need to remember that Shigesato Itoi isn’t interested in making new Mother games, hence Nintendo isn’t either. I wish they’d port them to the NSO virtual console though. Gorgeous comic.
@DiggleDog The Earthbound/Mother series is one of the few series I know of that's gotten an official conclusion, most of the time they just end unceremoniously because of whatever reasons without any real announcement.
I personally think the franchise just needs to be made more available. Beyond the 3rd game, we still don't have Earthbound or Beginnings on Switch, which I'd hope will lead to a big remaster collection.
So where’s earthbound. 😐
