Sometimes we wonder if people make cute games by rolling two dice: the first is which animal you play as, and the second is your job. A kiwi postman. A bird skateboarder. A cat farmer. A frog tax collector. Okay, that last one isn't real, but it's just a matter of time.
But hey, we're not complaining. If these games weren't hugely popular and loveable, we wouldn't keep getting them! The latest is LumbearJack, a game about a lumberjack bear named Jack, who's trying to restore the nature of his homeland by FernGully-ing his way through the forest and defeating the evil industrialists.
Of course, you're a lumberjack, so you'll be chopping down trees too... but we assume it's in a sustainable manner. If there's one thing we can't stand, it's hypocritical eco-bears.
LumbearJack will come to the Nintendo Switch eShop in 2022.

"frog tax collector" - hey, isn't Frog Detective a real game, though?
And I'm pretty sure there was also a "Lumbearjack" in Rhythm Paradise too.
Oh wow, reverse deforestation? I love the premise!
I wouldn't really call him a lumberjack. He's destroying stuff and doing reforestation. Also, have you forgotten about the Turnip tax evader game?
@moodycat
That tune's been running through my head since I read the name of this game.
A heartwarming game of love and loss: Frog Tax Collector audits it way to the Switch this November.
I was reminded during the indie world presentation that I find low poly graphics more common than I would wish. I get Indies need to cut costs, but the low poly look is insta-cheap looking.
@gcunit I agree! It worked for Untitled Goose game, but I am really starting to get tired of it at this point. I felt it looked really sloppy in Donut County and this looks similar.
artsy, quirky and boring..
yup, that's definitely an indie "game"
People like things that you don't like. That's OK.
At first I thought this was 'Untitled Banjo Game' or anything lol
Pick your poison, do you want LumbearJack or LumBEARjack?
