To conclude its 'Super Summer Fesitval' livestream, PlatinumGames announced a new DLC for The Wonderful 101: Remastered.
It's titled 'The Prince Vorkken' and is available for $1.00 USD or your regional equivalent. It's about a 3MB update. Here's what you can expect from it:
Unlock a new mode that lets you change the main player character to Prince Vorkken Ohgee, heir to the throne of the comet Rhullo and leader of the star-spanning Guyzoch Space Pirates! As Prince Vorkken, the Multi-Unite ability is replaced with "Enemy-Unite," which summons a host of "Unify Monster" alien beasts!
"The Prince Vorkken" also works with the free Time Attack DLC. Use Prince Vorkken's Enemy Unite to carve out a new path, and perhaps a faster time!
*Players can switch freely between normal mode and The Prince Vorkken mode after installing "The Prince Vorkken" DLC.
The Wonderful 101: Remastered is also currently on sale for 32% off - $27.19 instead of $39.99. Will you be trying out this new DLC? Leave a comment down below.

Would be interested to hear how this streamlines the game overall
@Luigisghost669
January 2nd is a sunday.
I didn’t make the ad. It’s says from the Nintendo store and fulfilled my Amazon
@Luigisghost669 guessing it’s just a placeholder
3 MB? That's impressive.
Ok seems interesting, but I want something new that advances the story, not just another mode. Still waiting for that Lukka DLC. Anyway, anything W101 is worth it
Hopefully this is a hint towards The Wonderful 102. This game was one of my favourite WiiU games back in the day
I loved it on the wii u with the pad, but I didn't get the same feel from the Switch version with one screen. May try again a bit later.
@Strumpan Probably because there's little to no new assets. Code itself isn't that big, most of the file size is audio, model and textures.
I don't remember this being a stretch goal of the Kickstarter, so it's a nice surprise indeed.
@Luigisghost669 I just clicked on the link you provided for BOTW2 and the page I'm looking at says December 31, 2022.

Which is a lot more realistic than Bayonetta 3 which says December 31, 2021, and I've had on preorder since 2018. 😝
So how much does this cost on my Wii U version? 😂
I have to say it since no one else has yet…
And still no Bayonetta 3 🥲
Never finished on the Wii U, but completed the main game on the remastered version. Not likely to get 100%, but it was an entertaining game. Good but not great. Happy to see all the post-launch support though.
@link3710 @Strumpan : Like a lot of DLC, the actual content is included in the software update, and the DLC purchase merely unlocks the ability to utilise that data, hence the small download. Annoyingly, this can add a lot of heft to a lot of games, even those you may not necessarily wish to purchase the DLC for.
Took them a whole year
