MindSeize was an intriguing eShop arrival late last year, as it promised a blend of Metroid Fusion and Mega Man X, which was a pretty bold claim from developer Kamina Dimension and publisher First Press Games. Ultimately the final game turned out pretty well; we enjoyed it in our MindSeize review.
For those that are already fans or are interested but prefer collecting physical copies, the good news is that First Press Games is ready to oblige. In Q4 this year there'll be two versions - a 'Regular Edition' at €39,99 and the Collector's Edition (limited to 1000 copies) that will cost €69,99; you can see its various goodies in the picture at the top of the article.
Pre-orders open on 12th June at 6am Pacific / 9am Eastern / 2pm UK / 3pm CEST; they'll go live on the First Press Games Store. Orders before 18th July are also promised a bonus item, too.
Beyond that, developer Kamini Dimension has said that a version 1.1.0 update is on the way, "which does not only add further polish, but actual new features and even some new content to the game". No date is given for the update, but we'll keep our eyes peeled.
So, is this another one for the collection?

Ah lovely, I've been holding out for this one in particular after hearing the good things about it.
This'll be the first Switch game I'll be getting from First Press Games, although there's other items on offer that have my interest this is what I wanted the most.
great timing as I was planning to play it soon!
Pretty cool. FPG's collector editions are top-tier, almost as good as SLG's CEs. Significantly better than the trash CEs LRG put out.
Yup, backed the physical on Kickstarter so should get a code to you on purchase, cant wait to add this to my collection.
Another one for the collection!
Still waiting on a decent sale for this one. Its regular price was a bit too high imo
I didn't know about the game, and when seeing the "standard" edition gets such love as a slipcase, interior art, and a full manual, it has my interest. And of course I made the mistake of checking out their website, and seeing some other interesting releases... And ending up more interested in double dipping on the "Psychotic Adventures Origins" release...
AND they are based in Europe, not even UK, which makes it all the more inviting to order...
I bought Mind Seize on sale a few months ago. Enjoyed it for the most part and got about 2/3 through before bailing. Too many other games. Pretty good metroidvania IMO.
Recently bought Ori and the Will of the Wisps on sale and already on my second play through on normal. Man, the art and animation of OWW is amazing. Gameplay is fun also. Won't ever be able to look at pixelated graphics the same. It may have supplanted Metroid Samus Returns as my favorite metroidvania.
It appears that the update you mention in this article was released today!
