The idea of a Nintendo x LEGO collaboration used to be a thing of dreams – a fantasy that would never, ever happen. Then, LEGO Super Mario actually did happen, and now we're hungry for more.
Instagram user Joss Woodyard, who regularly shares fantastic LEGO builds online, has created this stunning version of Skull Kid from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. If you scroll through the images in the post below, you can see Skull Kid sitting and standing in a variety of poses. We need one of these for our shelves immediately.
Of course, this isn't the first time we've seen a fan-made attempt at LEGO Zelda. We've had a version of Link inspired by Breath of the Wild, a BotW Hyrule Castle, the map from A Link to the Past, and even the Temple of Time. Even better news is that recently, a fan-made Sonic design got snapped up by LEGO and is now being transformed into a real thing – maybe these Zelda creations could get the same treatment one day?
Props to Joss for a cracking design, and thanks to Disty for the tip!

I love seeing some of the stock specialty pieces I played with in many different sets used in creative ways here. I wish I could get my hands on this to see exactly how it was built. Wonderfully creative.
If only, if only.
That's some NPU (Nice Part Usage), using the minifig flippers for the legs!
the colors really pop on this. love how he used the bushes on the arms. This would definitely be an expensive set. He says he'll be sharing building instructions soon. Time to prepare a bricklink order. Edit* The more I look at it I think it might actually be pretty affordable to make. There really aren't a ton of parts there.
Nice! Love the detail. I'll take four...if it's ever an actual thing.
