Update:
It's been highlighted (thanks to those that messaged us) that the participating companies page linked may be the list from last year's cancelled E3 event. Though the site header states E3 2021, direct links to the page obscure the fact that the current website doesn't directly point to that list. It's very possible this list is out of date, so we've updated the headline and will keep our eyes peeled for further updates.
Original Article:
After the trials and tribulations of 2020, as E3 started to lose support even before being forced into cancellation, it seems that this year's all-digital event is winning back the support of the big guns. The likes of Nintendo, Microsoft and Ubisoft were in from the start, but the list of participating publishers has continued to grow as the June event gets closer.
As noted all around observant social media channels this weekend, some big names have now been added to the participating companies page; these include SEGA, Bandai Namco and Activision.
The first two are likely more notable from a Nintendo Switch perspective. SEGA is often supportive of the platform, and rumours around a Sonic Colors Remaster will no doubt be in the forefront of some minds. Bandai Namco is a major partner of Nintendo of course, with various releases for the system and as a development partner on titles like New Pokémon Snap, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. We'll definitely be tuning in to any live streams these companies line-up.
As for Activision? They've published their share of Switch titles too, though the expectation will be that they focus a lot of attention on Call of Duty content; we shall see, though.
Is your hype level building for E3 in June? Let us know in the comments.

At least E3 will have Nintendo content, but I'm not very hyped about E3 anymore.
Hopefully, Sega will actually announce something and won't waste people's time like they (along with Atlus) did with New Game Plus Expo back in 2020 (seriously, screw both of them to oblivion for even doing that)
@ThomasBW84 I've read elsewhere that the list on the E3 page is from last year, prior to the cancellation..

I hope we see some new Sonic and Yakuza stuff from Sega.
@KJ85 @thomasbw84 I was about to write the same as I also read that yesterday.
New Sonic Adventure style game all the way!
And there it is, sonic colors is coming back baby.
This is my first hearing that Bandai Namco was a development partner on Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. Is that really true?
Ever since E3 tried to pull that ridiculous paywall stunt and quickly got backlash from it, I've been skeptical on whether or not it's even worth attending.
Nintendo is perhaps the only thing making the event worth it for me, along with Xbox.
SEGA and Bandai will announce their games through the console makers shows, like they have done in recent times.
And Hyrule Warriors is Koei Tecmo, not Bandai. But Bandai did help with Mario Kart 8 deluxe and ARMS, not to mention the obvious Pokken Tournament.
Imagine Sonic Generations,Yakuza 0,or Jet Set radio on Switch.
@BizarreJelly28980 Having Yakuza 0 on the Switch would be amazing, just begun playing it on PS4 and it's a blast.
@Dragwhite I started it on Steam but had to stop bc I had to delete it.(Turns out my computer can't run it well which explains the weird lagging at times)
E3 isn't dead after all. Still nice to hear Bandi and hopefully Sega will be at the show. See what surprises they got in store. Hope for sonic fans sake, that something worthwhile is done for Sonics 30th anniversary, more than just sonic colors if that's real.
@Entrr_username Oh Sega definitely has something big to announce, specifically Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis which is scheduled to release June 2021
@uoi100 you'd think they focus on stuff people will actually care about.
@Entrr_username Well they did focus on stuff ppl care about... Maybe you're just outside their demographic
@Entrr_username I wish it were the Sega of old.
