It used to be that the only time our favourite games and our childhood toys met was in our dreams, where a horribly mutated My Little Pony would chase us through Resident Evil's halls while a Care Bear and a Cabbage Patch Kid chanted nursery rhymes menacingly in the background.
Isn't it much nicer to witness someone else's mash up of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Polly Pocket? Finally: A Link we can shove right up our nostrils. We've been begging Nintendo for years.
An artist by the name of Brittnie - @evergreenqveen on Twitter - has created this beautiful, golden Polly Pocket drawing, complete with teeny-tiny details like Koroks, the Master Sword, a Shrine, and Beedle, who waits patiently for a teeny-tiny Link to buy his teeny-tiny wares. What's more, the whole thing is inside a triangle - but not just any triangle! THE triangle! The one that all the Zelda games are about!
You can own Brittnie's art for yourself, too - she has prints on her shop, which include the Breath of the Wild one, as well as some rather sweet Pokémon Polly Pockets inside Pokeballs.
Of course, if it's real-world video game Polly Pockets you want, there's always this Animal Crossing one - but you can't have it, and there's only one in the world. Sorry!

Neat, I'd be interested if someone made an entire triforce out of different areas, could be cool.
"We've ever wanted" (Bit of a stretch but okay...)
Their art style fits very nicely with this sort of compact design without feeling too busy or cluttered.
That being said, I was always far more interested in Mighty Max. Polly wasn't nearly as radical or extreme enough for my mid-90's kid aesthetic.
Would love to see the Mighty Max version too! Polly Pocket was a much simpler design for the exterior, while Mighty Max would get crazy with things like a coiled up snake. For Zelda I could see this little world being placed inside a Triforce shaped box. Or a tiny world inside a korok. Awesome art either way!
Polly Pocket... now there's something I haven't heard in a long time.
I laughed much too hard at “ Finally: A Link we can shove right up our nostrils.”
Seriously, thank you for that. 😂
How fun! I had MANY of the clamshell-style Polly Pockets growing up in the 90s. I would have loved this as a real toy, but the lack of a bed/designated sleeping space for Link would have driven my eight-year-old self crazy. 😂
@ImBackBB
I would assume the "we" in that sentence refers to Nintendo Life staff members?
TBH, I used to have the same dream. But in mine I had a horribly mutated My Little Pony would chase us through BIOHAZARD’S halls while a Care Bear and a GARBAGE PAIL KID chanted nursery rhymes menacingly in the background.
Note the slight differences. Isn’t that funny? I mean not funny like shoving Link up your nose funny. But you get it.
My sister used to have a Polly pocket I played with it more than she did 😂
@Desrever I used to nick my cousin's Mighty Max sets when I was at his house! I wish Polly Pocket had all the secret entrances and stuff that Max had...
