If you're thinking of picking up Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection when it slices its way onto Switch this June, you might want to consider this newly-revealed Digital Deluxe Edition.
Koei Tecmo Europe has announced that this special digital-only release will include a 70-page digital artbook and a digital soundtrack featuring over 180 tracks – as well as the three games included as standard (Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge).
That's not all, as there will also be a variety of pre-order bonuses on offer for both this Digital Deluxe Edition and standard purchases. The bonuses on offer for Switch owners haven't yet been revealed (news is coming soon), but PS4 fans will get a special theme for their console and themed avatars, while Xbox owners will get 10% off their purchase. Perhaps that 10% discount will arrive on Switch, too?
The NINJA GAIDEN: Master Collection brings the renowned action games to PC and consoles, allowing fans to once-again experience the tale of “super ninja” Ryu Hayabusa as he battles deadly fiends causing chaos around the world.
If you're keen to get a physical copy of this, the Asian release has an English language option and is available for pre-order at Play-Asia.

So the Asia version is all in English + the box has English text + all 3 games are on the cart?
If that is the case I will get it!
@Zuljaras
Yeah, there's an unusual trend of the only English language physical release of Switch games being in the Asia region, which I believe covers places like Singapore and Hongkong rather than Japan.
UK residents might prefer to order from 365games, who import international releases with English language options.

It will save you on shipping and handling charges and waiting times.
I am keen to pick up the physical copy and just did so, thanks!
What about those of us in the states? I want the deluxe versions and they always skimp on us over here.
As long as the preorder/digital deluxe bonus isn't an exclusive emulation of the Ninja Gaiden Trilogy on SNES, I probably won't be buying it. I always have that slight fear, though, since Bamco did that. At least I actually got that one, though.
How much is the digital version on Switch, it keeps saying not available when I look on Nintendo's website.
@RupeeClock 365Games have been pretty decent with their imports for Switch so far but I missed this one. Cheers for the heads up!
Are all 3 games fully on the cart or is some download required?
Yes please for us in the States a physical release with all on cart would make me buy in for sure. When I mean physical I mean a official retail version. Not a Limited Run type release. Otherwise I'll probably wait it out.
@RupeeClock But that looks like the Japanese release which is a lot different than the Asia one right?
There is a reason I’m just now playing HAdes for the first time!! I’ll wait for proper physical on this one too :3
The first Ninja Gaiden was one of my favorite action games from that generation. I've played it through 4-5 times. I think I played 2 & 3 one time each. I don't think I really want to play through these again anytime soon.
@__Link__ According to the listing on Play-Asia, all 3 games and most of the DLC are on the cart.
NINJA APPROVED (obviously)
Do we know if this is being released physically in other regions, even if it's a standard edition? Not sure I want to go through Play-Asia, they can take a looooong time, sometimes.
I have a question...is Ryu from this game from a Warriors game? Cuz he's in Warriors Orochi 4 ultimate and uh...idk XD
$50 for physical!
@KaikouraSaki There's this thing called a Google search where you can find answers to your questions.
@RupeeClock What are the chances that we'll get an NTSC version here in the states?
I feel like pre-ordering the digital version, but wonder if those "digital deluxe" pre-orders are ones that you have to pre-order on their website to get a code or you can just pre-order regularly on the E-shop?
Go Ninja Go Ninja Go! Slice like a Ninja cut like a razor blade so fast!
This is £35 on xbox, except i already have all 3 on xbox. This is tempting to have portably, except the joy con will let it down i fear, it'll be best suited to pro controller play. Will keep an eye on performance etc.
1 really is a great game!
Shame it’s not black, never played sigma but heard it’s not as good.
@KaikouraSaki I’m pretty sure Ryu is from dead or alive or he is originally from ninja gaiden but also featured in the dead or alive series
It's a great set of games, but this collection does have 2 issues:
1. No real mention about if this is the regular Sigma versions, or the Plus re-releases for the Vita. The Plus versions added some new stuff and brought back the blood and gore for Sigma 2.
A recently leaked Xbox Achievements list seems to say it's the Plus versions of the first 2 games, but Tecmo Koei has said nothing about this sofar.
2. The BIG issue with this one: no online multiplayer. It's hidden on the bottom of their product page, but there's no online co-op for Sigma 2 and no online co-op/versus for Razor's Edge.
This is a major blow for anyone wanting to 100% these games as the Tag Team missions (think Survival mode) are literally impossible to do with the braindead A.I. partner.
The online co-op is a very big part of those 2 games' replayability as well.
So buyer beware!
So no European physical release? First Crash Bandicoot and now this!
@KaikouraSaki
Ryu Hayabusa first debuted in Ninja Gaiden on NES back in 1988.
He has appeared in many other games since then.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryu_Hayabusa
@KaikouraSaki Ryu Hayabusa is from Ninja Gaiden and this is the reboot version of that series. This reboot version is more connected to Dead or Alive whereas the original ones are more connected to the arcade and NES games. Ryu Hayabusa only appeared in Warrior's Orochi 3 due to Tecmo's merge with Koei thus becoming Tecmo Koei. Companies that merge with each other includes Sega Sammy, Tecmo Koei, Bandai Namco, Konami Hudson, Activision Blizzard, Natsume-Atari, and Square Enix.
@RupeeClock that is so bs of wat their pulling not giving us in the west a physical version.
Got some store credit with play asia so I might get this physical.
Are these games gonna be censored?
I would have probably gone for the physical version but looks like Europe may not get that? I'll have to search memory banks and investigate how each individual game was like but I'll probably take the plunge anyway knowing me!
@DrDaisy
Can't believe there are still people asking that. This isn't 1991. Nintendo has had many blood and gore filled games on their systems since then. Razor's edge on Wii U was gruesome, vulgar and just as violent as it was on the other platforms. No worries.
@Zeldafan79 I'm not worried about Nintendo censoring it. I'm concerned because I heard some of these games were toned down when they were ported from Xbox consoles to other platforms.
@Gs69 Ooo kk kewl thxu :3
@Ghost_of_Hasashi
My oh my thxu for the clarification :3 I was just wondering so thank ya for yo time to explain that to me ^^
Or maybe there aren’t gonna be any bonuses for the switch
@FargusPelagius update on performance.

@russell-marlow There's this thing called a Google search where you can get an answer to your question.
@TeddyBearSolid Ha ha, by the way here's something you might've missed, I made that comment back in March before any new information came out about the collection on Tecmo's social media pages later on.
So kind of late to the snark party there, smart boy 😒
@russell-marlow
I'm sorry. Does hypocrisy not count after a little time has passed?
Get wrecked, scrub.
@TeddyBearSolid Bruh, why are you still responding after two weeks already?
Go check yourself before you wreck yourself.
It's called having a life, buddy.
I don't spend all my time on the internet, so sometimes it takes a bit before I notice a guy crying because he was called out on his bull.
Now, Falcon Punch your way outta here before I Falcon Drop some sick rap beats on you.
