Warframe's Operation: Orphix Venom has been and gone for PC players. Going live on December 18th for a whole month, console players have had to wait patiently for this limited-time event. Announced yesterday by developer Digital Extremes, the new update means that Switch players can now join in the action until February 22nd.

In terms of story, Operation: Orphix Venom focuses on a second Sentient invasion against the Origin System. Having deployed weaponized pulses to disable your Warframe, you'll need to make use of your Necramech and stop this takeover.

It follows on from the "Hearts of Deimos" expansion that arrived back in August last year. As you might expect, that will need completing first, along with “The War Within” quests to start playing. There are three tiers to this event too: based on easy, medium and hard difficulties, it'll offer different rewards, depending on your choice.

It's a good time to remind you that Warframe is also free-to-play, offering online multiplayer for up to 4 people. We had great things to say about the Switch port, so if this update grabs your interest, why not check it out.
