Psyonix has announced season two of Rocket League will be kicking off next week on 9th December.
It will include a new arena, new customisation options, new music and content, and much more. For players on Switch, it also sees the return of the game's split-screen. This was confirmed over on the official subreddit by one of the Pysonix developers.
Split-screen in the Switch version of Rocket League went missing - without warning - back in September, around the same time the game went free-to-play. So it's good to hear it'll finally be making a return.

Actually, EA would sell it back to you as DLC. Well done Psyonix.
Glad to see they're giving us back features they took away for no good reason. Maybe they can start going the Bungie route of 'sunsetting' existing content, too!

I wish they'd left the version I'd paid for alone and made the free to play game a different download.
I bought both physical editions and recently sold them (before they completely lost their value).

I gave up on the game after they sold out to Epic.
Problem is nobody really knows if it was a bug or intentional, and I wouldn't put it past Pdyonix to be either of those 2 scenarios.
@Kimyonaakuma Funny thing is, Nintendo is guilty of the same thing.
It's odd that this took so long to fix.
If I see family, we'll definitely play split screen. But with the pandemic, I don't know when that will be. Very glad split screen is coming back!
At 0:17 & 0:36 in the trailer, the Dominus has a Huntress-like decal setup, nice! I like the dominus, but think it has the worst decal offerings. I welcome new Dominus decals.
@LillianC14 If you didn't know the game was bought by Epic, you wouldn't be able to tell by playing. It's the same as it was a year ago.
@WoomyNNYes Thanks to Rocket being on Epic I got to know Epic store and its free games every 2 week. I almost have more free games on Epic then paid ones on Steam.
Several months to put something back that never should have been removed. There is no way Psyonix / Epic didn't know of this fault before their 'update'. The fact they released it showed a shocking disregard for the customers of the original game.
My son will be pleased multiplayer is back and we can take each other on but I am pretty clear Epic / Psyonix don't get a penny of my money again
