Finally, Spanish Audio.
Spanish ADIOS (sorry ...... )
Maybe they should patch the abysmal performance of the game lol
@Mew yeah I wonder if the patch fixed the damn frame rate issues
Once that is fixed - instant purchase from me
Bought it. Playing it. Loving it. I haven't noticed major framerate issues to say it's not worth it.
Ah yes, what we all have been waiting for, Spanish audio, we can finally listen to Zelda singing despacito with the rest of the gang
Fixed the issue where the screen display got corrupted and controls apart from the HOME Button stopped responding after certain operations in the materials selling menu.
(That seems like a pretty serious issue)
spanish audio? Please tell me it has an audio selector, Zelda in spanish must be awful.
Why is everyone making fun of a new language? Play the entire damn game in Japanese then, that's the original language, you're all playing a translation.
I which there were MORE language options, more accessibility for people. There is still no Portuguese on any Nintendo game EXCEPT for goddamn mobile, it's absurd.
Aaaaaand the framerate still sucks
@horizoniki It is highly unlikely that it will be fixed. Even with my switch completely overclocked the game still dropped into the single digits sometimes. It’s not something that can just be band-aid patched, it would probably require a lot of work
@AlienigenX Awful?? It's an awesome dub, Zelda (the character) specially sounds great. Better than in english, imo.
At least spanish from Spain. I haven't heard the latinamerican audio.
You guys neglected to mention that it adds the LatAm Spanish audio. European Spanish audio came included with the base game.
just picked it up now need find time to play the thing
So it is Latin America's Spanish? Awesome! I'll definetly try it out. BotW had great voices in almost all languages in my opinion, Spanish was pretty good!
Nice with Spanish, but everyone knows that it should be played in the original Japanese, just like BOTW. The English voices in BOTW were horrible.
@frizzy the Spanish voices are great so no, not 'everyone knows' it should be played in Japanese
I have the Japanese version (I live in Japan), wish I could change at least the audio option, I HATE the Japanese voices. English or Spanish would be great. I thought the game would be like BOTW (even the Japanese version of the cartridge gives you the language option), but it seems that’s not the case here...
I can confirm this Patch was live yesterday, as my early cart updated as soon as I slotted it in. Frame rate is tolerable to me and the controls remain responsive. Had a heap of fun doing the Death mountain mission. Enjoying using Impa more.
Ignorant English speaker here--can someone tell me what the difference between European Spanish and Latin-American Spanish is? I'm genuinely curious. Thanks!
Guess I’ll have to sell this copy and buy the European one. I updated the game to this version, it shows the version 1.0.1 but there’s no option to change the language...
I was expecting a patch that allowed steady 4k/120fps. I'm expecting mine anytime now, so I'll settle for the game in its current state, hopefully it is better than the demo version when docked.
@Mew Itès one of those weird things where OF COURSE the switch can be overclocked when you get into the consol access.
But i never thought of it haha. What do you find has been the best change since you overclocked it?
@Peterjr1 To be fair I said that the English voices are bad and that the Japanese ones are much better, but since I have not tried the Spanish ones I will now give them a try. The "everyone knows" bit comes from the fact that anime and japanese games like jrpgs are always much better in Japanese than English.
@AJDarkstar It’s not. I’ve noticed it gets a lot worse than the demo ever did once you get certain effects-heavy characters.
@pixelpatch It mostly just smoothes out performance on games that don’t cap out already. (There are 60fps patches for some games but I haven’t tried many of them) Didn’t seem to save this game, though..
Just came here to say the Italian dub is FLAWLESS
@Not_Soos every Latin America Spanish speaker country has a different accent, expressions, idioms...of you take for example Argentina (and that’s my opinion cause I’ve visited both) and Chile, it’s VERY different. Argentinians speak faster and I think sounds closer to European Spanish, I think Chilean Spanish is easier to understand, sounds clearer for my ears. Like, British, Australian and American English.
@Not_Soos Not just some accent and expressions as @freitasXsau mentioned, but also the same word might have completely different meaning in the way it is used. Another example is Brazilian Portuguese and Portuguese (from Portugal). In Portugal, the word "rapariga" means girl and that's it. In Brazil the same word is pejorative. And there is a common agreement between both countries to have same language! Pronounciation is very different as well.
Edit: now I imagined if they ever do a Portuguese translation and decide to call Zelda a "rapariga". No problem in Europe but well, in Brazil...
@Lugazz thanks for the help!
From looking at the patch notes....rushed out maybe?
@Rhaoulos anything less than 8k @ 140fps with ultra wide screen support is trash.
@Not_Soos Adding to what @freitasXsau and @Lugazz said, think about it as a spectrum of language dialects. In the lower end you have American English vs British English, which have some obvious differences, but do not infer communication/understanding in a very meaningful way that often.
On the higher end of the spectrum you have languages like European Portuguese vs. Brazilian Portuguese, or even Swiss German vs. High German, which are quite different and might result in some problems in spoken communication.
European Spanish vs LatAm Spanish lies somewhere between that spectrum of dialects.
Furthermore, LatAm Spanish covers multiple dialects of Spanish (Mexican, Chilean, Argentinean, Ecuadorean, etc.) in the most neutral manner it can possible manage, while European Spanish is made solely in mind for a Spaniard audience.
@Rhaoulos I really hope you're joking; also anyone complaining about frame rates are pretty absurd. I played 2 hours after it unlocked, beating both the Mipha and Daruk missions and I had no major frame rate issues. Maybe I'm just an old grandma, but I think kids need to learn that a couple of frame drops don't automatically make a game horsesh*t.
If you guys are complaining so much then you fix the frame rate problem yourselves, oh wait you probably cant, just enjoy the game, frame rate doesn't matter that much if it's fun
@QueenKittenWrite I am extremely serious. Everybody knows the Switch can easily run every game in 4k/120fps but there is a conspiracy.
Joke aside (I must emphasize the fact that I'm joking because that condescending tone of yours calling other people kids makes me thing you must not get humour very often), some frame drops are really bothering me when you rotate the camera in some areas. Also you must have misread my comment because I never said it was "horsesh*t".
Frame rate clearly high on the priority list!
I love how they're trying to describe the glitches they fixed without giving any spoilers.
"You know the thing you can do with the person in that location, where it sometimes causes the other thing to do a thing it shouldn't? We fixed it"
@Mew I think you need to learn what single digit framerate feels and looks like because the game doesn't hit that level at all. I'm pretty far into it now and its been mostly ok, its not 100% stable and does drop but its far better then the demo and seeing comments on reddit and stuff it appears my experience is common. In fact i replayed the opening level with more effect heavy characters what was terrible in the demo and its a lot better both docked and handheld.
@freitasXsau have you been able to change the language? I also bought the Japanese version and it's, well, in Japanese, but there doesn't seem to be any way to change it
@Madruga @freitasXsau
The Japanese version only supports Japanese.
In Japan, it wasn't even published by Nintendo, but Koei Tecmo directly (same for the original Hyrule Warriors and Fire Emblem Warriors) so I doubt it'll be getting more language support later.
@bluesun @Madruga no, I think it will be the same case as the previous Hyrule Warriors, like @bluesun wrote! Yesterday I sold my copy online and now I’ll buy the American version on Playasia. I really don’t like the “moaning” female Japanese voices, it bothers me a lot, it’s not p*rn it’s a videogame...
@freitasXsau if you don't mind me asking, how did you sell it? Are you Brazilian, btw?
@Madruga yep! Are you too? (Acho que sim pelo nickname)
@Madruga aqui no Japão tem um site tipo mercado livre chamado mercari, vende bem rápido, eu coloquei deu 5 minutos vendeu.
@freitasXsau vou tentar, bicho, valeu!
Update: I chose Latin American Spanish as soon as I first booted up the game, just to check it out.
It is so damn good that I simply left it like this! Voices are nice and the "lip synching" is incredibly well done!
