At the end of last week, we shared an article highlighting the struggles being faced by the world's cat population as a result of Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit. The extremely important and serious piece of journalism explored a variety of lovely kitties, finding that many appeared to be scared of the zooming Mario RC car, or just outright detested the thing.

Thankfully, that's not always the case. We decided to do the sensible thing and test it out on cats that are part of the Nintendo Life family, as you'll see in the video above. In the clip, our video producer Zion spent an unhealthy amount of time enjoying Mario Kart gameplay with his own adorable fluff balls, who – while curious at first – soon got into the swing of things and started playing along, too.

Look, we know you're here for the Mario Kart cat content, so we delivered.
