During Nintendo's latest Treehouse: Live presentation, we got an extended look at Koei Tecmo's upcoming release, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.
One of the highlights was the confirmation that Koroks would be returning. You'll even be able to collect Korok seeds. If you played The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, obviously you already know how Link had to look high and low all over Hyrule for these seeds.
Nintendo didn't reveal the reward you'll get for finding Koroks in the new Hyrule Warriors game. In Breath of the Wild, though, Korok seeds allowed you to upgrade Link's inventory space, so you could store more weapons and various other items.

Hopefully they’re fun to find. I didn’t especially like the Koroks in Breath of the Wild.
Because there weren't enough in Breath of the Wild.
I've been getting back into botw again in preparation for this game. I have everything in it besides fully upgraded armor, one saddle from the horseback archery game, and koroks. Just reached 400 this past weekend.

These are the reason it took me so long to finish BOTW! My map is completely covered in path lines finding them all. Never again.
Just those three seconds tell me that KT is up to their usual shenanigans with the crummy environment art.

Going after all 900 on BotW is not something I ever wish to do. I'm glad you can get full inventory with only about half of them
They are quite iconic, though, and an expected addition
