Hardcore Mecha developer RocketPunch Games has teamed up with physical publisher Red Art Games to release a special, limited run of the title on Switch.
While the digital version will hit the eShop later this week, this physical edition is planned to launch in Q1 2021. Pre-orders are going live on Red Art Games' website this Thursday, 15th October at 4pm BST / 5pm CEST, with pricing set to be €39,99.
Only 2,800 copies will be available, so we wouldn't wait around if you're particularly keen to snap this up. We'll have a review of the title for you nearer its release, but we'll leave you with an official description below if you'd like to learn a little more.
HARDCORE MECHA is a 2D platformer action game, full of enthusiasm for classic robot designs, aiming to maximize the game feel by focusing on the detail and feel of each mecha.
Experience an immersive story with Campaign Mode, which focuses on rich level designs and a seamless transition of gameplay and animation cutscenes. Survival Simulation Mode and Multiplayer Mode will keep the game on after completing the main chapters! Unlock and drive in total of 42 mechas, upgrade and gain new skills and attributes for an ultimate battle of steel!
Apart from Online PVP mode, you can now enjoy HARDCORE MECHA with friends anytime, anywhere! Challenge your friends for a face to face battle with Local Wireless mode for up to 4 players! Or share your Joycon with a friend for an instant battle on the same screen!
I'm just not a fan of paper pin animation.
I try the demo and is not bad.
Don't be pressured by this because It's also being released on playasia
Phew, I was just about to order the import but I'd rather have a European copy.
I think these kind of post should say it's from a limited release company in the headlines. One could think they're normal releases.
The demo intrigued me, not enough to go through the trouble to chase down a physical copy, but the game itself looks and plays nicely.
This one tempted my robot anime loving inner kid too much. I preordered from Amazon Japan rather than take chances.
Don't be pressured, the SEA version also support English too.
@Orangezap89 Don't be pressured by this because It's also being released on playasia
Not only that but the release there had extras as well.
Or you could purchase a Japanese copy that also supports English.
Holy crap, this looks amazing. Right up my alley.
I ordered this on PlayAsia awhile back. Before I'd heard anything about Red Art having a release. Before i heard about the game at all really. I got it 2 days ago and i am loving this game. Gigantic Army is a really fun game too but I'd say very different. I'm really glad i got a physical copy though and can't wait to play it some more. Definitely a great game.
