A few weeks ago, third-party video game giant Ubisoft hosted its "E3-style" showcase titled Ubisoft Forward. During the event, the company revealed it would be hosting another broadcast in the near future.
According to an update from Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot, this second event will take place at some point in September. No exact date has been provided as of yet.
While there wasn't much focus on the Nintendo Switch during the first broadcast, there were at least a few announcements tied to Just Dance 2020, Trials Rising, and Brawlhalla. You can read more in our previous post.
The next show promises to include more "games news and updates", so we'll be keeping an eye out for anything Switch related. Hopefully, we can finally see some more footage of games like Gods & Monsters.
Earlier this week, during the company's first-quarter earnings call, chief financial officer Frédérick Duguet revealed the first Ubisoft Forward broadcast "generated historic viewership" - outperforming its past E3 conferences (via VGC):
“Ubisoft Forward was a major milestone and the response from our fans was very promising. We achieved record-high peak concurrent viewership during this event, surpassing our previous E3 conferences.”

Okay... why? A lot of companies just have dlc now.
Because the last one went soooo well. 😒
Eh, Nope.
Will not watch it.
I believe the presentation will be 99% rated 18+ games, 1% for boring Just Dance game every year, 0% for Cute / Girly games like Imagine or Petz series.
But if Ubisoft have other Casual games for Switch, i will judge the games from first impression i saw.
I've decided that 2020 will be the year of the backlog!
Moving forward with price hikes and the same collection a thon games but now with Ray Tracing TM ZOMG.
@RPGamer Last time I checked, some words are spelled differently in the UK
We know for Switch they're gonna go all out, and tell us about the exciting transactions for Just Dance 2020
why hype? Ubisoft left the platform long ago, I wouldn't be surprised if they cancelled Gods and Monsters for the Switch
@Cevil don’t you dare jinx us 😂
@Anti-Matter I 💯 agree. 18+ games might be great for their target audience, but I can only take so much gore, sexual content and language. Eventually it gets absolutely sickening to play.
@Cevil Well now you’ve gone and jinxed it! They were gonna do Gods and Monsters and knock our socks off with marioxrabbids 2, but now it’s just gonna be a new Arianna grande mix for just dance... thanks a lot.
Lost in Random was the only game featured to interest me from their last broadcast, but I am hyped for that game! I love Zoink Games.
I may still watch this broadcast. Maybe they'll have something that interests me? (Rayman or Steep stuff, please!)
@SMW That was actually EA’s presentation where Lost in Random was featured
Still hoping that Scott Pilgrim might come to fruition. Other hype stuff for me would be Rayman, Prince of Persia, or an AC Altair collection. Basically, anything new for the switch that isn't a Tom Clancy game will excite me, since their lineup for this year seems ok at best.
Hopefully it will have Rayman and/or another Nintendo Crossover
Whatever. I'm done with major publishers ignoring the Switch. Just tell me what games are coming to the console. I'm not buying another game console and couldn't care less about "next gen."
Ubisoft is weird. Never liked the whole vibe of their products.
Gods & Monsters looked fantastic when they showed the teaser.
Net sales by platform Q1 20/21
PS4- 34%
PC - 20%
Xbox -19%
Mobile - 12%
Switch - 11%
Obviously Switch is not a priority. Would Not expect anything that requires a big investment to get done. More Just Dance for sure. They have done little effort.
Child of Light 2 would be nice.
Nintendo take note.
Who is ready to be disappointed again?
Sorry, I'm not so I'll be skipping this one.
It's kinda hard to care after the last presentation.
The community on Switch probably wants stuff like a new 3D Rayman Legends, and maybe another Nintendo IP collaboration. But I'm not sure Ubisoft is on that page anymore.
I'm done with Ubisoft. Their games are boring and they abuse employees.
@BreathingMiit I'm with you. Their behaviour is unacceptable, just because they want us to separate their products and their culture doesn't mean that we should act like good little consumers and keep on buying.
@Dogtanian Was hoping that this site would've started to ignore Ubisoft after all the horrible stories that have come out about them but of course those sad little sellouts that call themselves "game journalists" don't have the balls to do that.
So more on assassin's Creed valhalla, watch dogs legion, far cry 6 gameplay, possibly gods and monsters and more mobile games most people won't care about? Why bother
When's the next Ubisoft eshop sale gonna be? Hopefully not out in September. There's some games on my list I wanna buy.
I wonder what free game they're gonna promise this time to not give to people 🤔
@Timmytron @MisterKorman All we can do is comment about it under articles like this so that the issue gets a tiny percentage of the coverage it deserved. Ubisoft does not deserve to expect "business as usual" after this.
Gonna watch it. Hope there will be footage from gods & monsters. Also hoping for a new rayman game. And where is beyond good & evil 2?
