It might look a little like Fortnite, but instead of assault rifles and rocket launchers, this "fantasy action" battle-royale RPG replaces modern-day weaponry with magic.
In Spellbreak, the goal is to become an all-powerful battlemage as you weave spectacular spell combinations and craft strategic builds. You'll be able to dominate the Hollow Lands alone, or team up with friends in this non-stop quest for survival.
Below is the official announcement for Nintendo Switch:
The game will be released on Switch when the game leaves closed beta on PC and like many other battle royale titles, this one will be free-to-play. Is this the magical experience you've been waiting for? Share your thoughts below.

Not sure i am really liking the vibes with this one. But looks okay.
I like Realm Royale better than I like Fortnite. Either way, I'll give this a try whenever I get a hefty Micro SD card.
I played some of the closed beta on PC and I can tell you right now this'll look pretty rough on Switch unless they really give it some proper TLC
That actually looks pretty cool. Will probably give it a go.
Def, giving this a go! Looks amazing and digging the gameplay.
Any release date?
Hmmm battle royale and RPG surely can’t exist in the same sentence. How much story and character progression can you squeeze into one battle round?
i'm a sucker for magic and custom builds
Despite my last comment it actually looks pretty fun....
@TechaNinja If it's a Switch Announcement Trailer, it has to be Switch footage, no?
@StefanN This video is 1080p 60fps. I call *****
It looks like a better game then Fortnite. I wonder if like Fortnite they will charge absolutely ridiculous rip-off prices for new skins/gear.
Not sure if it's my kind of game, but the trailer makes it look like fun
I have never played Fortnite (was off burning thru Uncharted and AC series) but this one does have my interest. The picture quality to me does look good within frame of the source. As a former WoW addict I like Nintendo getting more into online multiplayer rpg type games for that pvp itch of mine yearning for “my spells.”
I hate battle royale games. Gross
Love the look and the vibe! And no environment building shown so I’m hoping that’s not in this. I’ll definitely try it out. Looks promising!
Looks cool. I much prefer the fantasy setting to the shoot em up style of Fortnite. It won't take off in the same way though, for that very reason.
I hate BR games, but I'll still try this out.
@TechaNinja @StefanN Yea this is definitely not switch footage. Given the camera sequences this is a sequence in UE4, which means it’s rendering on cinematic quality on a PC.

@tekknik Honestly, it's lame when devs pull this ***** off to make something look better then what it really is lol
@TechaNinja devs almost always do this. I'd bet good money the ps5 games revealed yesterday won't look as good as they did in the trailers either. All of that being said though, maybe the switch pro will be able to handle more graphically intense games?
This one looks interesting because it apparently has more movement freedom than other titles of the genre on the Switch (here you can double jump, sometimes float, sometimes fly)
Let's see if I won't get tired of it after a couple of hours, which tends to happen with most f2p competitive games for me
Been playing it since the Pre-Alpha. It's an amazing game. I just hope we get a constant 60 when it drops on Switch. Also I saw someone on here say they like Realm Royale better than Fortnite. I hope they were joking.
@Nomad $20 max for an item is cheap compared to what Riot Games, EA, and Activision does with their stuff. Riot Games is selling a bundle that isn't even all the weapon skins for $70. Weapon skins. Fortnite barely goes over $8 for that. Let's not act like Fortnite is the bad one here
@Cool_Squirtle you’re right they’ll look better. They were streaming at 1080p/30fps.
@JordonAM 20 bucks max for one item is still an overpriced rip-off even if other companies charge worse prices. Lets not defend this bs here.
@Nomad
Then don't buy it, simple.
@JR150 I'm not into Fortnite at all but my two sons are and they are always asking me if they can have v- bucks.
I would'nt mind so much if it were better value for money.
Hmm, I actually think this looks like to could be fun to play.
Everything changed when the fire nation attacked
RPG? You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means.
@JordonAM Don't know why anyone woul have to be joking about liking realm royale more. Some people just dont like the building aspect of fortnite. I do prefere fortnite over RR only because of its bigger player base, RR is quite abandoned now and its prime time is over but it is nice to play a game where once you'll take a shot, someone won't build a 5* hotel with a free wifi in a second
It just looks to have less interesting and fun weaponry.
@TechaNinja No this is what it actually looks like ingame on full graphic settings on PC.
@BreathingMiit Yes it does, You play the role of either a Stone, Fire, Ice, Toxic, Wind, Lightning Mage.
@BluFloo by that logic all games where you control a character are RPGs.
