Ex-Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aimé has announced a brand new podcast called 'Talking Games with Reggie and Harold'. Hosted alongside award-winning author/journalist Harold Goldberg, the podcast is helping to raise money for the New York Videogame Critics Circle nonprofit's mentoring work in the time of COVID-19.
The seven-part podcast will start to air in mid-May, with those who donate to the cause getting access to extra content and being given the chance to ask Reggie questions for the show. There are other perks, too, which are explained on the podcast's Go Fund Me page.
Speaking of which, here's what the page tells us about the podcast:
We are raising funds for a new initiative to bring games and games writing courses to high school students in homeless shelters in New York City. While everyone has been hard hit by this terrible COVID-19 virus in some way, the hardest hit, underserved communities in the Bronx need our help. And no community has been hit harder than students in homeless shelters, who live in complex situations in the best of times and are having trouble even connecting to a WiFi hotspot right now. These are our communities in need. These are the communities we want to help.
One of the first guests set to appear on the podcast is none other than The Game Awards producer, Geoff Keighley.

Wow this is gonna be so wholesome.
Reggie could talk about what he did for breakfast for an hour and I'd be fully invested. Looking forward to this!
Still love the man, even thou he’s trying to unbury GameStop..... actually if he can bring back the GameStop of yore, when they actually cared about employees/customers/games/fun, I might start buyin from em again.... I said MIGHT! Don’t lynch me! Reggie has his work cut out there....
I would simp for Reggie.
Missed opportunity to name it "Kicking Ass and Talking Games"
I haven't seen live images of Reggie in such low resolution for ages
MY EARS ARE READY
I'm definitely down to give this a listen. Nintendo Power Podcast does have its charms, but they're not always too captivating.
But I've gotta listen to SOMETHING in the background while I do chores, or nothing will ever get done.
Yea baby my body is ready
That's the sort of podcast I might listen to :3
that good that Reggie is doing this for vunerable people, that such awesome idea.
The posts above sum up very well my current disposition. I've never cared much for podcasts, but I'd listen to Reggie give his opinion on living room furniture and design
What a great guy!
@J-Plap wholesome is overused word. I would say touching
Long live the Regginator!
Reggie trying to resurrect GameStop is the Nightmare difficulty for gaming CEOs
@PickledKong64 it may be overused, but it is the right word. Why would you say its particularly touching?
@J-Plap because hes helping those who need help. I've been working during this crisis and I know first hand how hard it is for people. People have grown bitter. I'm only 17 and I'm the breadwinner of my house because my parents lost their job. Its touching that hes helping other out.
I can’t help but like Reggie. Always comes across very well. Will probably give this a listen.
Needed a new podcast to listen to, this one looks very wholesome
Hope he abandoned GameStop; that sinking ship could never be saved from its own greed and predatory sales tactics.
Reggie doesn't have time to finish the podcasts.
He has get back and play Animal Crossing: New Leaf, on his Nintendo 3DS.
max 400 deaths (not even directly relatable ) per 1.000.000, 50mln unemployed. Id rather have a charity podcast for the workingpoor.
Reggie has an amazing charisma and is just a good speaker. It's part of why we all believe the Nintendo hype at every E3 since the GameCube.
@FrowningCoach Powerful ignorance.
@flagloverNZ what makes it wholesome
My body is ready. Thank you Regginator.
Ooh! Please remind us when the first episode is out NintendoLife!
