Monkey Craft might not necessarily be a household name, but you're probably at least familiar with its previous release. It was the company contracted by Bandai Namco to help bring Katamari Damacy REROLL to the Nintendo Switch in 2018 and has also assisted with another Bamco remaster on the hybrid device known as Mojipittan Encore.
Here's where it gets interesting. In addition to helping out with the “planning, programming, and 2D Design" of both of these remasters, the company is now believed to have at least one other Switch title in development. This is all according to its official website, which goes on to reveal it began three different projects in January 2018, May 2019, and August 2019.
The first two dates are thought to cover Katamari Damacy REROLL and Mojipittan Encore. As for the third one, there's some speculation it could be tied to the recent trademarks for Klonoa, Mr. Driller, Wagyan Land, Genpei Touma Den, and Splatterhouse.
Could another Bandai Namco remaster be coming to Switch? What would you like to see next? Tell us below.

Pac-Man World 2 please?!
I'm surprised that they had only bothered to bring over the first Katamari game instead of porting the entire collection (or at least part of it).
@NintendoWiiDS Oh man, I would absolutely LOSE my mind. All the other great 3D platformers of my childhood have been remastered for Switch now: Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger... Pac-man World 2 is one of the only ones still missing! This is Pac-Man's 40th anniversary, after all, and Namco did say to keep an eye out for news updates throughout the year. Are the stars finally aligning for us?
Please let it be klonoa
@Not_Soos We can only hope man, World 2 was amazing and it would be great to see another 3D platformer in the contemporary gaming landscape. While I adore the championship edition games and would appreciate a sequel, it would be nice to see Bandai Namco do something more with the Pac-Man IP. I love the original arcade classics and the ports to modern platforms, but a World 2 remake may act as a litmus test to see if future installments are desired: the World series had so much potential and I’d really like for a new generation to experience the joy we derived from it.
Well, whatever Bandai Namco has decided on, let’s hope their choice won’t be as tone deaf as Sega deciding to resurrect Banana Blitz for a remake. I’m concerned new players to the series picked that game up and scratched their heads, wondering what the fuss was about and they probably aren’t interested in having anything more to do with the series. Oh Sega, please remove the shackles from 1 + 2 in your basement, call off the ransom and give them to us...
Please be Pac-Man World!
I'd love a new Splatterhouse,or even a remastered remix of the original 3 would be great. I wasn't aware there was a new game released for PS3/360 in 2010 until 5 minutes ago but going by the trailer, it seems they done to Splatterhouse what Contra Rogue Corps did to Contra. It needs to have the same gameplay or it's not Splatterhouse.
2D gameplay where you punch, kick, headbutt and splat disgusting monsters with over the top gore and great graphics is all that's needed.
I want Neko-Tomo get USA / PAL version.
@NintendoWiiDS
Agreed. It's pretty sad when in a 2010 Guinness book, Pac-Man was ranked the NUMBER ONE most recognizable video game character ahead of Mario, yet Namco has slept on him (poor choice of words here) in the ten years since, outside of the Championship games and including him in Smash. He desperately needs to be made relevant again, and not with those hideous and overpriced statues from last year or a Hello Kitty crossover for their mobile Pac-Man game. Those things are just laughable compared to what they could and should be doing with a franchise that helped define gaming. He's also like Miyamoto's favorite video game character, so pass the ball back to him if you aren't gonna do anything yourselves, Namco.
I never really played much of World 1 and 3 at all to know how good they are in comparison, though my understanding is that they are a bit weaker. I would still be interested to try them, though. Since they already have Namco Museum games, I hope they wouldn't scrap the arcade from World 2, but I could see that happening. At this point I'm just rambling, and I can't think of a segway, but what's your favorite part of the game? The Haunted Boardwalk, B-Doing Woods, and the mech fights are the things I definitely have the most fond memories about.
PRETTY PLEASE, let it be a Disney Magical World remake for the switch ^__________^
A new collection of classics, please. This time with physical release too since day one.
@Not_Soos That’s a tricky question, because World 2 has so many memorable levels and set pieces for me. I haven’t played it in a while, but if I had to pick, I’d probably say the B-Doing woods; the whole B-Doing mechanic was so fun and naturally introduced and it was steadily developed throughout the level and the whole game, it just speaks to the quality of the game, they took a simple concept like trampolines and explored it to its fullest potential. But I love the moody atmosphere of the Haunted Boardwalk, there was a surprising amount of variety to Avalanche Alley considering snow levels don’t bolster the greatest smorgasbord of ideas in my opinion. Even the opening level is really charming, acting as a very effective tutorial for Pac-Man’s abilities and my jaw dropped when I first returned to it and discovered you could play Namco arcade games there, since they’re so fun and addictive, so other than the game just being great, they acted as a great incentive to keep playing.
I also love the level variety, you never know where you’ll be going next and the small details of collectibles referencing Galaxian and the like were awesome.
I’m a huge fan of Namco Museum as well. What’s your favourite version of Museum and what do you think of the Switch version? Mine is probably 50th anniversary because the cream of the crop of Namco’s arcade line up is pretty much all represented and I found the Switch version’s game selection to be interesting with more obscure titles like Galaga ‘88 being included, but I think other versions are better.
Doesn't anyone want ridge racer or soul caliber
Probably being greedy but really really want Namco to re release point blank. Loved that game - bought my first playstation and two light guns just fir that.
Dunno why wasnt on Wii given they did a ds version.
Light gun games seem sadly out if fashion...
@sixrings It would be neat to see Soulcalibur back in the modern day and I think we need another Ridge Racer or a remake because the arcade style of racing games has been disappointingly absent in recent years
I would love to see a remake of Pac-Land. Such a delightful game... it just had so much character and atmosphere. It seems that it hardly ever gets re-released, either. I would love to play it again, in some shape or form.
@OorWullie
I must admit that I loved the Splatterhouse remake on the 360. I felt that it fit in with the overall series pretty well, and it was a joy to play. I think that it's well worth checking out, if you can. Having said that, I am sure that there are many who would disagree with me on this one! 😆
Mr Driller would be awesome!
A Klonoa 1 & 2 double pack would be amazing!!
@sixrings came here to say exactly the same thing just give us the PSP version of ridge racer with some updated graphics but no micro transactions like the vita version just a complete best of ridge collection
Please KLONOA Please
If it's a remaster then I would take a Mr Driller any day of the week!
However, I'm hoping we see a Namco museum 2 with Ridge Racer, Tekken, Starblade, Soul Edge and Cyber Sled (oh man that would be fun on Switch!)
@RPGamer They’re so much fun and infinitely replayable. Were you upset about Banana Blitz HD?
I'd love it if Mr. Driller came to the Switch.
Klonoa or PAC-MAN World, please! Never played either, and a Remaster would be the perfect opportunity to do so!
In case bandai is reading, Xenosaga and Klonoa please.
@GrailUK the first Namco collection had local wireless play support. Oh man could you imagine cyber sled and or ridge racer with the same option. I'd be in heaven. Time crisis please.
Well now I know who to harass for the second Katamari on the switch but chances are it doesn't matter what we say we want because Bandai Namco is who's in charge of Contracting them oh, but it does suck that we only get number one and not number two
Wonder if they'll remember they still owe Nintendo fans a version of Project CARS? 😜
@NintendoWiiDS if pac man world 2 would come, I would buy it out of curiosity.
@arrmixer Please do it’s an absolutely fantastic 3D platformer that seamlessly incorporates Pac-Man staples into its gameplay mechanics and it’s full of charm and variety.
A Soulcalibur 3 HD or a Federation vs Zeon remaster would be sweet.
@Ooyah If it ever came to Switch, I probably wouldn't be able to resist it.
I read an article about the game earlier, it talked about how the game had a really troubled development. The developer wanted to do its thing while Bandai Namco wanted another. It ended up far removed from what either envisioned.
hoping its We ♥ Katamari ! !
Baten kaitos collection please! (And soul calibur 2 HD)!
@KayFiOS Same here! Would also like Mr. Driller a lot, but that's just my opinion.
Please be Klonoa or Splatterhouse.
@NintendoWiiDS I've never played the 50th anniversary edition, but I have had Namco Museum on GBA, Switch, and the Remix version on Wii. Remix was fun, from what I remember, but it's been a long time since I've played it. I grew up with one of those plug-in-and-play games that had classics like Ms. Pac-Man and Mappy on it, and I really wish the Switch version had those. Ms. Pac-Man is marginally better than the original, in my opinion. I think the Switch one sells for like 30 bucks, which I thought was kind of ridiculous, but I picked it up on sale for 10 dollars bevause I wanted Pac-Man Vs. Thought it would be a fun alternative, since the Switch doesn't have Nintendo Land, which has great isometric multiplayer.
Edit: I guess I never fully answered your question, haha. I can't say I love any of the Namco Museum collections I've played (I need to look into that 50th Anniversary one), but if they would just add Mappy and especially Ms. Pac-Man to the Switch one, I would be very happy.
@RPGamer I don’t think BBHD is a bad game but it is just so strange that Sega decided to remake it over 1+2, and I hate how they’re effectively holding remakes of those games hostage based on the success of this game. Replaying it left me feeling quite empty and it just can’t compare to the Gamecube games. The shallow party games in the remake are a far cry from the proper versions of monkey target, monkey bowling etc. But I agree with you, we need monkey ball 1+2 remade right now!
From Namco I would like to see Tales of Symphonia (or any other Tales of),Soul Calibur,Ridge Racer,Tekken,Pac Man World,I Ninja,Street Racing Syndicate,Eternal Sonata.....
Why doesn’t Namco bring everyone Sekiro or Dark Souls 2 and 3?
I know that localized ports of the Super Famicom Sailor Moon games are out of the question so I'll just keep my expectations as low as possible.
More Katamari Games please.
@Maschinenmensch
I really want Neko-Tomo get English version on Nintendo Switch and So What ?? 🤨
Who said nobody want cute games for Nintendo Switch ??
I WANT that game.
@Shadow0blivion
I might be the minority here but there are some audiences who have interest with kiddie games from Bandai Namco such as Neko-Tomo, Teddy Together, Disney Magical World 1 / 2 on 3DS, etc.
I am also the audience for that game.
The game is really appealing to me.
If the games sold well or not, who cares ?
I hope it's Klonoa
@Maschinenmensch "games like that are for very small children. No one wants those."
Are you saying that very small children do not exist? Because I think the truth may surprise you.
