Team17 has announced that a free demo of SMG Studio and DevM Games’ frantic couch co-op game Moving Out is now available on Switch.
The game, which looks set to be a similar experience to the wonderful Overcooked series (albeit with more moving house and less cooking), is also now up for pre-order on the Switch eShop. Every player who pre-orders the game will receive access to the 'Employees of the Month Pack' DLC, which features a set of four exclusive movers - Professor Inkle the octopus, Bruce the koala bear, Sprinkles the doughnut, and Dials the CRT television.
If you need catching up on this one, here's a quick feature list:
Key Features
Couch co-op gameplay: Players can take on the challenge either alone or with up to three friends with local cooperative gameplay, helping or hindering each other as they shift a variety of objects
Location, location, location: F.A.R.Ts are ready to move anything in the town of Packmore and beyond. The Smooth Moves company is always ready to help!
Physics: Are pesky doors and windows standing in your way? Blast through them with physics, just be careful of any breakables!
Character customisation: From colour options to hijabs and wheelchairs, players can customise their technicians with a number of choices. Make your mover unique with a whole host of customisation options including hats, hair styles, and horticulture!
Assist Mode: Longer time limits, reduced difficulty, and level skipping are just some of the options to ensure that players of all ability levels can join in!
Accessibility: Dyslexia-friendly text, scalable user interface, and remappable keyboard controls are all featured so that everyone can enjoy the moving mayhem.
Moving Out launches on Switch on 28th April both digitally and physically. You'll be able to pick it up for £19.99 / €24.99 / $29.99.
Are you intrigued by this one? Will you give the demo a go? We think it could well be another co-op winner.

Demo Time!
I like the music from the trailer. 😀
So 80's.
What is the music name ?
Btw, yay... Free Demo ! 😀
Wow, that's an expensive party game!
Glad there's a demo. My wife and I love Overcooked, so I'm happy to give this a try.
Yeh this is cute too, overcooked has proven to be a laugh with my usually computer game hating husband so maybe he will like this too
Was the demo announced in the indie direct? I didn't see it in the direct.
Overcooked but moving furniture. Might be fun.
Team17 still strong.
Anyone know if there's online coop too? Would be nice in times of social distancing. Day 1 either way.
@aSmilingMan Doesn't appear to, but I'd try the demo and see for sure.
Team 17 has really been coming out with some great stuff lately, they seem to be very consistent about releasing new games as well. This is more of a multiplayer focused game so chances are I will just play it on Game Pass or something.
@RPGamer the demo is available now, here in the US
Considering the volume of DLC released for Overcooked 2, I'll wait for a complete edition.
@Silly_G I'm still waiting on the overcooked 2 complete edition..
@Peshokinha : Same. At least it's DRM free on PC at GOG, so I'll consider that if a complete cartridge release on Switch isn't made available, but I can't justify paying for DLC that is locked to a single console when there is a DRM-free alternative elsewhere.
@Silly_G What DRM free??? Why not tells is that one as well.
So does anyone know when the PreOrder bonus will list? I have yet to see it listed for the PreOrder offers?
