Following on from its reveal of seven new titles in February, Super Rare Games has now shared details on the first release of the lot, Assault Android Cactus+. Pre-orders will go live for the game on 12th March, exclusively on the Super Rare Games website, and it will set you back £29.99 / $32.62 USD (or the regional equivalent).
The Super Rare physical edition is limited to a total of 4,000 units and includes a 20-page full-colour manual, interior artwork, exclusive sticker, as well as three trading cards randomly selected from a five-card set.
In case you're wondering, the game is described as an arcade-style twin-stick shooter set in a vivid sci-fi universe. The player takes on the role of Junior Constable Cactus who must respond to a distress call and ends up stranded on a crippled space freighter under attack by its own robot workers.
With a draining battery mechanic instead of lives, Assault Android Cactus+ challenges players to think fast and shoot faster. Charge headfirst into an army of refitted robots, transforming stages and massive boss showdowns.

I had interest in this ever since I heard about the Wii U version. I'm not even sure if it ever released there. Perhaps now's the time to try it.
Meh, this was an okay game at best, certainly not worth what they’re asking.
We Got Six Characters and Enough Money for One Voice Actor: The Game
@Paraka felt like it was a pretty generic indie title, but if it's that bad than yikes!
It's one of my Steam favs & had they not added the + stuff for free I would have double-dipped on the Switch port. But that price tag is a bit much. At least toss in a soundtrack.
Wow, over confident about their product aren't they with that price tag?
its a quality shooter, i played the whole thing co-op with my roomate/ex best friend. just kinda want more after playing/unlocking all the characters. its alot of fun! i wouldnt pay $32 tho, max id pay is $10 and still feel satisfied.
Weird reception here in the comments considering this game ranks in the top 50 Switch games on Metacritic.
I found it very difficult / uncomfortable to play undocked for some reason. It's a decent game but not worth £30.
Every time I look at the characters I get a giggle. They look like babi future soldiers. Game looks cool though, it peaks my interest at least.
My curiosity died after Uii W
I'm super excited for this one! As soon as I saw the trailer I knew it was for me. I just hope the game-play music is as good as that heard in the trailer. I love that this is being published by SRG, the most virtuous "limited model type" company in the business. I can always depend on my game being imported to me within two weeks time, as opposed to 6+ months from the other companies. I never feel like my investments are just being used as interest free loans with SRG.
@Coach_A Seriously. Strange.
This game is absolutely SUBLIME. If you're looking for a twinstick arcade shooter you can't go wrong. It feels fantastic and frantic and plays wonderfully.
Costs twice as much as PC version.
@Dakotastomp - The game is by no means bad. But the first 10 minutes you're going to think one of the characters it talking the whole time til you realize it was three of them.
But for those whom ordered the 3 pack steelcase or just 3 pack standard case they already have these and don't have to worry.
Glad to see this title getting some attention, this is probably my favorite twin stick shooter on Switch. It veers more into shmup-style than rogue-lite which is what I enjoy about it.
@Kangarooskillit Super Rare is good. They remove the VAT taxes for foreign buyers. I wish some of the other companies would do the same.
