The amiibos never stop..
Two more I gotta buy.
Sounds like a new spirit board event is on the way.
I had to do a double-take as I wasn't sure if there were any more left to collect. All that's left now are the Fighter Pass characters, and if Nintendo are feeling particularly sadistic, alts of already available figures, such as the Koopalings, opposite sex variations of characters, Alph etc.
@Silly_G Ohhh my god NO..... maybe Alph.... but my wallet is not ready for that many amiibos.
However, since they released the 2P of Bayonetta, Corrin and Cloud..... It wouldn't surprise me ... along the Hero and Joker variations......
Please no.... I already have over 120 amiibos.... i don't need more to complete my Smash Collection...
@fafonio : I don't particularly want it to happen either, but it wouldn't surprise me if Nintendo try to completely milk us die-hard collectors dry.
I have given up hope of ever procuring all of the cards, but I do have every single figurine to date (except the Skylanders ones, which don't really count in my eyes).
So does that mean we might get a Direct before or on the 17th? I mean it is possible.
@Silly_G hahaha respect to you and your wallet man. I've only collected all the Smash and Zelda series to full completion... along some other characters that don't fit into those lines like Waluigi, the first trio of Splatoon, the Metroid line, Shovel Knight, Toad and other "main characters" ... oh and K.K. Rider, Mr. Resetti and Tom Nook.
But collecting ALL the amiibos ... wow. How many do you have? Around 200? Also I guess in the US they are cheaper. Here in Mexico they cost the equivalent of $25 dollars.
These two will close out the base roster, leaving Nintendo with no choice but to reveal their plans for amiibo of the DLC characters. Can’t wait to spend a crapton of money to complete my collection.
@thesilverbrick exactly.... I've been waiting for this moment since the WiiU didn't finished its amiibo roster!
Can't wait for the Banjo & Kazooie amiibo!!
I will pick them up. I’m only one short of having having the entire smash bro’s series to this point (Crom player two) so I’m not going to stop now. For what it’s worth I’m a take them out and use them collector not a sit in the box on the shelf collector.
@fafonio : I have no idea. According to an amiibo wiki, I've gone through the list, and I should have 183 if the list is complete.
I picked most of them up at around launch. Most amiibo retail for AU$18, but can usually be picked up for AU$15, and most of the Animal Crossing amiibo were dirt cheap because of the fact that Amiibo Festival was a catastrophic failure, and too many stores had an excess of AC amiibo in stock (still do in fact!).
I eventually caved in and bought the gold/silver Mario and gold Mega Man from scalpers as I missed out on the Mario ones as I was overseas at the time of their release, and they were also pre-sold out. I was apprehensive about gold Mega Man as it was exclusive to the US/Japanese versions of the Mega Man Legacy Collection on 3DS, and I didn't want to end up with a region-locked game that I couldn't play, but I eventually bought the amiibo by itself (brand new from the 3DS package's insert).
I'm more impressed that you've collected so many in Mexico. I imagine that amiibo would be relatively hard to find over there.
I dread to contemplate how much I have spent on these adorable and unnecessary darlings.
Just got the pre-order available for that Richter amiibo!
Stupid question but are those amiibo useful for games other than Smash? I primararily use them for display figures but it would be cool if I can use them with Skyrim, SHovel Knight etc. or only specific amiibos are for specific games?
@thesilverbrick show us a pic of your collection man! that might be beaaautiful!
I really haven’t got my money’s worth out of this game yet, I only have about 10 hours since it came out, not through any fault of the game it’s just I’ve had so many other great games to play! In other words I need to jump back in.
Wouldn't be awesome if all the Amiibo we purchased over the years would actually unlock stuff in more games other than the 5 over the Switch's life so far?
I mean RPGs could benefit from this in the form of random item gifts or Pokemon could give us evolution stones/rare candies once per use or something. What's the point of this Dark Samus amiibo beyond Smash now?
I wonder if we get the DLC reveal at this pokemon direct. Because the release date for the new character is still "februari 2020"
@rex_rex Haha, sure, but I’m not quite sure how to post a photo here. Any tips?
