Update: The patch is now live.
Although Game Freak is focused on its upcoming Switch release Pokémon Sword and Shield, it's still working on some minor fixes for last year's title, Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!
According to Serebii.net, an upcoming patch for the game will bring the title up to Version 1.0.2. It will resolve two bugs. The first is a communication problem that occurs if the playtime is 999:59 and the second fixes an issue preventing Mystery Gift entry after 10 attempts, even after time has passed.
Are you still playing this game? Are you looking forward to the next major entries in the Pokémon game series? Tell us below.

"According to Serebii.net..."
It's weird seeing a news site quoting a fansite. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around?
Did they ever actually have a mystery gift event in LG? I don't remember hearing about a single one.
Also wow, 999 hours and 59 minutes? What were they doing, trying for a SHINY living pokedx?
@Aquamine-Amarine This is a fan site too, lol.
@Aquamine-Amarine Serebii is the place to go for Pokemon news, and Joe Merrick, the man behind Serebii has actually contributed articles to NintendoLife before.
So... non-issues that would only affect 0.0000001% of players anyway.
And from memory, no Mystery Gift events have been made available apart from Mew and the (US exclusive?) Shiny Pikachu/Eevee giveaway... and with Sword and Shield just around the corner, I very much doubt that we'll be getting any events at all... so I don't understand why they even bothered to patch this in.
And who the hell would play this for over 1000 hours anyway?!
It took me under 200 hours to complete my Gen IV Pokedex (493 Pokémon) and those of you who might remember how hideously sluggish those games were would appreciate that it should have been possible to do so in substantially less time than that.
@Silly_G Like I said, they must have been going for that living shiny pokedex. AKA, all 153, shiny, legit. Because.
@Heavyarms55 : And a legit shiny Mew in Let's Go?
Good luck!
@Silly_G That's why they have so much playtime logged, still trying!
They finally fixed the no random pokemon battles glitch !?...wut no?...lammmeee... Nintendo get your sh*t together pls and patch the things we really want that the game NEEDS..
@MysticX : I guess some are adamant on examining every atom under that truck for a trace of Mew, with a 31+ combo in tow, of course.
@Silly_G Hey, at least they found some bugs and fixed them.
I started playing Let's Go Pikachu again a week or so again--still have a couple things left to do for this monotype poison run, but I'm probably nearly done (wanna beat the upgraded Elite Four, and maybe do the Master Trainers for my main Pokemon).
@Aquamine-Amarine One fan site quoting news by another fan site.
Nintendolife isn't associated with Nintendo / GameFreak.
Neither is Serebii.
@Knuckles This hasn't been the case for years, since he would report on fake news and treat real bits of information as fake. Not to mention that the site's interface is stuck in 2007. You're better off using social media for that.
@Travisemo007 Nintendo doesn't make the game. GameFreak does.
@Silly_G lol, right?
@sanderev : What's really annoying is when either Nintendo Life or Nintendo Everything publish a story filled with misinformation, the other copies the story and so misinformation and ignorance propagates... garrrgh... -.-
Anybody else notice the glitch when your opponent in battle uses a healing item. For example, it says “You used a full restore” instead of the opponent. So what, you gave them one out of mercy?
@ItalianBaptist : That is a known problem, yes, and I have encountered that myself.
But fixing a bug that would only occur if one makes 10 incorrect Mystery Gift code attempts is a bigger priority for Game Freak.
So until now, if you entered invalid codes 10 times, and saved, the game would just lock you out of Mystery Gift forever? Whoops.
Edit: Looking at the changelog:
I guess some lockout system was broken somehow.
Did they fix the glitch that doesn’t allow you to use the pro controller yet?
@Heavyarms55 They did have a target event recently to get a shiny Pikachu or Eevee via mystery gift
If only they had bothered to make sure the Target Event for the Mystery Gift function even worked - got screwed out of a Shiny because the App didn't work at either of the closest Targets.
@Mazakala Ah, that must have been in North America only then.
In this day and age Pokemon games, should get free (or cheap) DLC instead of "plus" versions like Pokemon Crystal. We're not in 1999 anymore. Gamers expect from companies to support the games with something more than bug fixes
@Preposterous Serebii does NOT have an issue with fake news, and unconfirmed rumors should be treated with a grain of salt until proven.
As for the interface, there's nothing wrong with stuff like frames. They're only slightly less user friendly than newer, fancier techniques that have trouble working properly when you're currently running low on memory or using the wrong browser.
@dimi Perhaps they could handle it that way, but the amount of updates they typically include in those versions are worth at least $15-$20 if released as DLC, even more if it's a true sequel like Black/White 2.
@BulbasaurusRex yeah if its true sequel its different case
@sanderev maybe so, but nintendo owns the pokemon company, so they likely played some role in its creation and the stupid idea to take wild battles out. Part of the core of what pokemons all about -_-.
@Travisemo007 No Nintendo owns 33% of the Pokémon Company. The rest is divided by Creatures Inc and GameFreak.
@sanderev right, however im not entirely wrong, if they all own equal pecrents, nintendo still owns it, as one of the owners lol.
